It also uses a totally non-standard (and unintuitive) icon for the sun, and an ugly (unbalanced) icon for rain+cloud. By giving an hourly forecast at this range, it misleads regarding accuracy.
The blue/beta version has a more distant location, crams ALL the information in the bottom half of the screen, shows six times, but only up to 10am, obscures what is shown with an unnecessary overlay, and only shows a subset of the info - not useful at all unless I scroll vertically & horizontally.
Here are screenshots from the live and beta versions, from a few days ago, for a forecast two days away. The former distributes the info cleanly and evenly using the whole screen, at my correct location, with all relevant info at six times, across the entire useful day, without me needing to scroll.
My talk at #UnrealFest Stockholm on #ControlRig physics in #UnrealEngine has just been released: youtu.be/HennjwB6zZ8?...

2. The current/Trump-inspired administration has clearly and intentionally increased the actual magnitude of the first two terms, and has dramatically increased the perceived magnitudes.
1. I'm half way through listening to this, which is horrifying. The question for me is, as a potential traveller to the US: "Is CostOfDetention*P(detained) - BenefitOfTrip * (1 - P(detained))" +ve or -ve?

That's actually quite funny!
Heute abend auf twitch.tv/ard findet die Preisvergabe für den Puls GameJam statt. Es wird spannend in 5 Kategorien. Es sind einfach tolle Spiele entstanden.
Whenever there's an internet outage here I always do a little ratty web search to check if it's back. But... is this the most horrific episode of Dexter ever?!
Definitely better to see photos of a pretty boat than your blisters!
Learned a new spring fact from my colleague @rat-face.bsky.social recently. For a critically damped spring tracking a target moving at a constant velocity, the amount of time the spring will lag behind the target is given by "halflife / ln(2)". Added to my blog post theorangeduck.com/page/spring-...
You could fit a couple of cats in that gap instead. Much more useful.
As in - All the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order...
My best typo ever. How did that happen?!

@chrisbrooke.bsky.social Does this count as a credit or debit on my #FestiveBrookeEntryTax bill?
Rats are lovely. But protesting against films with bad rats is silly. They should just make a film showing how nice they really are.
It's a sample project for a big open world, but one of the nice things is that the assets were created by the community. I wasn't involved, apart from right at the end when took a look to help get some physics working! I believe the project will receive ongoing improvements too.
Not at all. Three abreast requires an extra 2m of road/lane width (assuming cyclists are 1m apart), and can be very hard to find on many roads. Three inline requires you to overtake a formation that is maybe 8m longer - but that is only one second if passing at 15mph faster than the cyclists.
UE sample Project Titan is now available, and it looks great (I don't care if I'm biased!) - www.unrealengine.com/en-US/news/t...
And here's another. I called him Ed (after the Labour politician). Wireframe shows the target motion.
Just stumbled across this old video by accident (from WeightShift days) - I remember having fun with this chap!
My latest article is about one of my favorite techniques in graphics - Müller's method of Polar Decomposition.
It also details some variations, including one which is ~2x faster to compute with more regular convergence.

I loved your talk at the physics dept a few Saturdays ago - an exceptionally memorable telling of the universe's story, and a reminder that our spines _should_ tingle whenever we think of it!
I'm a physicist and I don't major in complex emotions, but when I think about my subject my spine tingles.
Me reading from my book.
Let's see how this compares to the other place.
