Loving this new bike. Got up to Deep Cove today - and with errands tacked on, it was a 56k ride.

Peak of pink tree season in Vancouver today.
Just saw this on Facebook and it instantly triggered a thousand memories... I could hear the bell and clunking perfectly. Add in this beast and that's 71% of my childhood right there: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUUt...
The seawall is covered in starfish right now.
Here, you earned it.
If you mean the First Nations numbers, it's because federal funding is unpredictable and unreliable. So you need to build your own source revenue and reserves.
For comparison, the 10,000 or so people in Metro Vancouver's 9 First Nations, have an annual surplus of $242.9 million.
Latest infographic from my app - showing First Nations population trends over the last quarter. A while ago I made an ATIP request to Ottawa to get population stats on my nation from a few years ago, and they couldn't find them. It's crazy that none of this stuff existed until we built it.
The second graphic shows businesses owned by First Nations band governments - it captures about 80% of the total as some aren't reported on band books. Still, at 3470 businesses, there are more First Nations owned corporations than there are band councillors in all of Canada.
I've been creating infographics for my app www.knowledgekeepr.ca - now that I have all this data, it's neat to be able to just know this stuff with a second's work. So fun fact, as of this month there are 1,136,339 people with First Nations status who live in 623 functioning bands.

The thing about the rainy season here in Vancouver, is if you close your umbrella and look up, this is what you see.
I like the Pope, the Pope smokes dopes.
Sorry… but do people not wash their pants?! Reading this advice thing on mending pants and they mention washing your pants every few months as if that were more than normal.
Worth remembering that the New Westminster Indian Band (so-called “Qayqayt”) is widely opposed by First Nations in this region.
You ever look at a chart or stat or some online factoid and think: do they suck at presenting data, or am I dumber than I thought? [my experience just now reviewing a chart on exercise and VO2max by age]
...if you had put $1000 into Polymarket when I made that first post, you'd have just doubled your money.
It's cool that they do corruption openly online now. Given the millions that were just bet on a ceasefire, it looks like Trump will have to resign himself to slowing dimming American civilization, rather than nuking Persian civilization.
After 3 years of building, my app is finally live for paying customers (we did a 6-month free beta). You can see it at www.knowledgekeepr.ca
Basically, if you need authoritative information about any First Nation in Canada, finances, bylaws, lands, contact info, governance info... that's us.
What a day to get an image like that.
I’m more concerned about an infrastructure destroying cyberattack by Iran. Not on us directly but the power systems are all connected.
That was a very cool final shot before going dark.
Loving this new eBike - perfect for these super long rides up into the mountains. Also - just look at that street sign font. Like an Arial Black or Helvetica Black, whatever it is... chef's kiss.
Tout le monde est critique.
Working on data merge for the app and I just thought you should know that there's a Chief Chief, Chief Indian, and Councillor Skywalker - among Canada's 4000 or so First Nations chiefs and councillors.
That gives me an idea:
Cana-duh?! The party of common sense.
Kantnada. The party of deontology. We Kant stand with notwithstanding.
Can-nada. Politicians do nothing. At least we're up front about it.
I saw a story about this online, but can't believe it's still available for sale (and so easy to find). Alibaba is selling Shahed drones. www.alibaba.com/product-deta...
My favourite bit of Canadian space history is this picture from Mars. It got no attention at the time or since. But look closely…
In 2026, to call attacks on the Epstein class (aka Trump, Andrew, Clinton) antisemitic? Who is that convincing? Is it really out of bounds to say that Israel has a radicalization problem when mobs of armed settler terrorists have been running wild in the West Bank for the last few weeks?
