You argued that private schools "helped" public schools. Not true.

I'm saying that parents who enroll special needs kids in public schools, while enrolling their higher academically achieving kids in private schools, places a heavier burden on public schools.

Talked to a mom of 6 kids who has some in private/parochial schools. Three are in public schools because the private ones don't have services for their special needs. Private schools are dumping harder-to-educate children onto public schools, but are happy to take tax dollars away from public ed.
