MegaMove: Six researchers from the OKEANOS-UAc Institute were part of an international consortium of almost 400 researchers that mapped the movements of more than 100 species of marine megafauna, identifying critical areas for their conservation.

This article used data about plastic ingestion in adult shearwaters collected dead in the Azores. It was discovered for the first time that seabirds such as shearwaters 'reset' plastic concentrations.

A Our Oceans tem trabalhado em colaboração com os nossos colegas Jorge Fontes, Bruno Macena e outros investigadores do Okeanos, no sentido de compreender os fascinantes movimentos dos tubarões-baleia e sobre a sua capacidade de cooperar com o atum para encurralar pequenos peixes para se alimentarem.
Decorreu no âmbito do International Joint Research Centre for Marine Science em Macau, o SINOPORT Ocean Conference.
O nosso diretor Gui Menezes participou no encontro com uma apresentação geral de caracterização do Instituto OKEANOS e das suas principais atividades e linhas de investigação.
