I'd be the age to answer questions it seems.

More the opposite. "Good enough for now..." and then I end up with a bunch of subpar code that I have to refactor later on, where it's easier to overhaul it from the ground up and redo it completely, rather than refactor it.

The big picture:
Google wants to see that you’re not just online, but part of a real community.

The more your name shows up on trusted local sites, the stronger your credibility in search.

My personal favorite add-on (not in the article):
Offer reviews & testimonials to your suppliers or partners.

They get free social proof.
You get a backlink in return.
Win-win.

9. Participate in forums
Local Reddit threads, Quora discussions. Be helpful, not salesy (careful — Reddit bans fast).

10. Use your network
Employees, board members, alumni groups — lots of hidden backlink opportunities.

7. Work with micro-influencers
Local TikTokers, IG creators, bloggers. Small reach but highly trusted in the community.

8. Apply for awards
“Best of City” lists & nominations usually come with backlinks.

5. Collaborate with schools & nonprofits
Talks, co-sponsoring, providing resources → they often link back.

6. Local PR
Press releases, new hires, expanded services, local news coverage.

3. Contribute content
Guest posts for community blogs, local magazines, neighborhood associations.

4. Create local assets
Maps, checklists, reports — things people in your area want to share.

1. Sponsor local events
Get your logo + backlink on their event page. Easy win.

2. Local directories
Think chamber of commerce, BBB, niche industry listings.

Quite common in general to be lazy or have bad practices and then think downstream someone will solve it.

It's a shame and really not how stuff should be done or considered.

DSGVO regelt die Speicherung und Verarbeitung personenbezogener Daten (auch Mail).
TKG (Telekommunikationsgesetz) regelt den Versand von Werbe-E-Mails - und der ist ohne ausdrückliches Opt-in verboten.
