I don't beleive the polls. How can they lead in the polls and yet the appetite for separation is so low? Both the UCP and the separatists use the same narative. I also believe the new PC Party or whatever they will be called will have a huge impact on conservative voting.

Just an example of doing things on the cheap. Instead of making Crowchild a major N-S traffic artery on the West Side the city expanded the road and made improvements in some areas but left others untouched and made interchanges that are better than what was there but are still inefficient.

When I was in the local media, I covered the results of a 10
Year study to determine if Crowchild Tr. should be expanded. It took them 10 ears to figure out the answer was yes. Then the cheap plans came out. Lights everywhere instead of clover leafs.

Calgary has a long history of doing things on the cheap. This is just another example.

Bigger victims are the Jr. A leagues, especially across the Prairies, where small-town teams in the AJHL, SJHL, and MJHL are the identity of the town. All the players who went to those leagues so they wouldn't lose their eligibility are going to the WHL then the NCAA.
