TIL that Red Hook is Canadian, which feels crazy because way back in the day I remember funding Darkest Dungeon on Kickstarter just because I thought the art looked cool.

Doritos sent me an RGB keyboard with chip crumbs in it for a new promotional campaign. (It literally came like this.)

Started years ago for me. My once-dependable Roomba hos slowly gotten worse and worse since at least 2023, to the point now where if it goes more than a few feet from the docking station, it freezes up and pings my phone that it is lost. And none of the troubleshooting I've done has fixed it.

Saros is clicking for me in ways that Returnal never did So far, Housemarque is expanding on everything that made Returnal great while making some oh-so welcome tweaks.

I'm so impressed by how well Housemarque has preserved the core challenging gameplay while making it feel just a bit more manageable through tighter run design & more upgrade and modifier options for players.
I regrettably fell off Returnal so I wasn't expecting to love Saros like I have. It rocks!

I had the privilege of visiting Housemarque in Finland to play Saros. While I found Returnal too punishing, I ADORE Saros so far!
It retains the frenetic shooting and haunting atmosphere while making runs more digestible and progression more meaningful.

Definitely could be a factor, I set my Neo up fresh.

Could it be the memory? I had a fairly solid experience testing the Neo, but I did note some slowdowns when trying to edit images in Photoshop while also having a ton of tabs open in Safari because I was filling the memory.

Marathon only works if you don't play like a Canadian Marathon has the potential to be the next great shooter from Bungie, but if you expect other players to play nice, think again.

We had our old @mobilesyrup.com colleague Chris Brown back to tackle Marathon.
Besides this hilarious headline, I really appreciate his perspective on the shortcomings of the gameplay loop beyond the tight shooting mechanics.
Looking forward to seeing his full review down the line.

Mixed feelings about this plan refresh. Freedom made roaming even better -- great for travellers, but not so much for everyone else. And the sorta hidden price hike detracts from the positive changes.

The Pixel 10a is here, and I have very mixed feelings about it. I still need to go hands-on with the phone and test it out. But on paper, this is basically just the Pixel 9a.
