Riese & Muller will stop selling bikes in the US, because tariffs. I wonder if this will affect Canadian distribution. www.reddit.com/r/CargoBike/s/...
I feel like a bad Canadian for saying this but I dug the first track on the new Angine de Poitrine album and then the rest kind of gave me a headache and has blended together in my mind with the South Park theme tune.

Hah. I guarantee the triggering event here was watching the government's attorneys humiliated in front of the Supreme Court yesterday. Sadly he will find some other ghoul for this job. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/04/...
Riiight… I have no idea where he lives now, when I was still on Twitter I got the impression he was still UBC-adjacent.
Not the right guy for Vancouver in 2014… but for West Vancouver in 2026? Maybe… Mark Sager has set the bar so very, very low. www.northshoredailypost.com/k...
These are not e-bikes by any reasonable definition, they are motorcycles. The bike they sell that does not require a driver's license can't be sold anywhere in Canada but Ontario.
Haha, yes, pretty much.
Paddleboard rescue at Ambleside. Not sure how she got stranded, dinghy couldn't get in close enough so they sped off and came back with a paddleboard. Well done. Not so well done the boomers on the seawall complaining about their tax dollars. You will be grateful for the tax dollars one day.
You might think it’s bad to get relationship advice from a chatbot trained on notoriously deranged internet advice forums, but it’s actually the best advice you can get

I have a Mach-E that I bought used 2 years ago, coming up on 4 years old. Really no reason to change it, bought an extended warranty that has a while to run.
Yes, I did delete an earlier version of this post where I used the word “car” instead of EV, which leaves the meaning rather ambiguous 😔
One slightly buried detail in that BYD announcement is that to get around grid limitations, the chargers have a battery to deliver the burst power required to charge in 5 minutes. This is an old model with well known limitations just done at a larger scale, and the limitations will be the same.
I'm on the record as saying that EV technology is not moving as fast as many people assume and you should not buy into the FUD that an EV you buy today will be obsolete in 3 years. Yesterday someone cited the BYD announcement this week as a reason I'm wrong but… talk to me again in 3 years.
If the name wasn't already taken, they should rename this to Wreck Beach.

Absolutely wild response. Have a good day.
Neither of which has crumbled into dust despite their advancing years. Quite the contrary, they are both still very good cars which we intend to keep for a while, there’s really no reason to switch.
What’s your EV ownership experience?
Yes. We own two, both bought used. 2022 Mach-E and 2024 Kia Niro.
“Outpaced every 2-3 years” is exactly the kind of FUD I mean. It’s absolute nonsense.
So your argument about EV leasing is based on your experience of owning… a gasoline powered car. OK.
I’ve been hearing about game changing battery tech literally every week since 2010. The BYD battery even if it comes here requires charging infrastructure that does not exist yet. The existing “pokey” cars work just fine and insisting they do not is exactly the FUD I am pointing to.
My personal take is there’s nothing wrong with leasing if it works for you but the advice to lease EVs is based on false assumptions about how fast the technology is changing, US discourse centered on how their rebates worked, and a healthy dose of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.
The only reason Paradise S1 was not the best thing on TV at the time was that Severance S2 was airing. But there's no Severance on now so…
Hmm… voicemail from the Ford dealership wondering if I might be interested in selling my Mach-E. What could possibly have prompted that…
Congratulations Frances, best of luck with your campaign. I think you'll be a great candidate.
Woah, snow settling in North Van, that was not on my bingo card for this week.
Not so far, no…
