I had assumed Jacinthe had an actual jacinthe/hyacinth flower in her hair(like mallow has a literal mallow flower in her hair) holding the mega stone but while drawing her I realized it's a small fabric headpiece shaped like her ace Pokémon. Neat.

I take this as more of a very slightly tongue in cheek "don't be an immature unhinged anime superfan" quote than a very serious "never critique any creator's work ever unless you're a serious professional" quote. (I admit I could be wrong in the way I'm understanding it.)
I keep seeing this. I feel like most people don't know the actual context of this quote(this is an old quote partially in response to a ship that unhinged malajusted trolls/fans didn't like iirc??) and everyone is kind of morphing it to argue for their own specific, personal reading of the quote.

While I agree with some of these takes it seems like a lot of people can't understand when something in a movie is meant to be camp. Or satire. Or metaphor. And generally don't like movies that don't follow a "traditional" western structure.
