Story by @eddywax.bsky.social with a few comments from me why Trump 'patriots' allies did not vote for the EU-US trade deal today. Most curious to me are the Hungarian Fidesz MEPs, just after Trump endorsed Orbán last weekend:
YouTube has removed a leaked phone call between a senior EU official and a Politico reporter after a request to do so from the Commission.

Is anyone aware of any research about how lucrative it is for an European country to host an EU agency? Like the customs authority being decided today.

I'm compiling a list of all the EU initiatives/files/decisions that Hungary is currently blocking, whether alone or with other member states. Aside from the €90 billion loan for Ukraine, what else is there?

I think it's a feature, not a bug. This is (another) US tech platform after all. Where is the EU's answer to X?
I'm going to try to be more present here. I sporadically spend time on BlueSky but get fed up with the amount of US news.
Ukraine's accession to the EU is now facing a crunch moment. EU countries are getting more and more vocal with their worries about fast-tracking Kyiv in. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy is getting louder and louder about the need to join by 2027.
