8 Thrilling Mystery Novels with Unexpected Pairings — Including a New Sherlock Holmes Story (Exclusive) Boomers and Gen Z-ers forge unlikely partnerships in these eight recent mystery novels that explore conflict and cooperation across generations.

DEAD IN THE FRAME is included in People's list of mystery novels with unexpected young/old protagonist pairings. They file everything under "Boomers and Gen Z form unlikely partnerships" and Boomers are still babies in the world of Pentecost & Parker, but I'll take it.

Classic Private-Eye Detective Novels: A Starter Pack Our crime columnist recommends books starring hard-boiled investigators who are ready to travel down the meanest streets to root out the darkest truths.

Somehow I made it on a very short list that incudes Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler. Also Sara Gran's Claire DeWitt series, which I love and want more of please.

I very much hope so. There’s no date for a sixth book at the moment. But in the meantime I’ll be adding the occasional P&P short story to my website

Hey NYC friends! I’ll have a free evening in the city in a couple weeks. I’d like to catch a show when I’m there. Any theatre you recommend?

Both are historical mysteries with queer protagonists. Katharine Schellman's Nightingale is 1920s NYC. Lev's series is 1950s S.F.

That is a great question! Once I'm past the flurry of book release obligations, I'll have to put together an extensive list. At the top would have to be Lev Rosen's Evander Mills series, which starts w/ Lavender House. And I just finished Last Call at the Nightingale, which def makes the list

Thanks so much!
My audiobook narrator Kirsten Potter is just superb.
And I'm glad you care about Val. If things go as plotted, we'll be seeing him again.

Thank you so so much!!!
I'd tell you not to be so inpatient but I'd be a hypocrite.
Book six is planned and plotted but not contracted. The joys of publishing. Which means there will be a longer gap between novels than usual. Hopefully not terribly long, though.
