Went down a Nightwish rabbit hole.
All metal bands should have what is basically an opera scale singer as their lead vocalist or something.
Epic stuff. This also has a tangential #ttrpg link as, of course, some campaigns should be like a live, epic, operatic song.
Maybe another day.

Started #Monarch S2 after really enjoying S1 and the second season has progressed enough that I can mostly avoid weekly releases.
I love the balls of it.
Yeah, here are all these crazy concepts and setting elements and we're creating drama around them.
Live with it .
So many travel channels with the more down to Earth guy and the over exuberant female.
So many.
Gender types or a pattern of established performance I'll leave it up to you.
I think for some it's natural and for others it's copying the natural ones .
You know what is really funny?
I had no idea at all there was a plot going on in the last session. No idea at all. I assumed the abnormal cold weather was just colour.
I was oblivious and tackling things purely from the personal agenda.
These are the scenes that are great but can feel self-indulgent, due to numerous variables, in a typical game environment.
We edged into this in the Star Trek games when I stopped doing the opening logs as the Captain.
There are scenes to establish relationships which in turn need further development. They are not plot moving in a way. They are adding to the texture of the setting, characters and the emotional meaning of things.
Remember to always run in circles.
Of course the answer is more AI. Get AI to generate lots of code fast and then get AI to tell you all the errors in it .
Who watches the watchers and all that.
Is it just the ultimate Enshitification? Sort of at scale Enshitification.
I do think specific, focused application has some potential. Enough potential is something else.
But this whole mass production view? It's interesting riding it out .

Definitely.
It's one of those shows that starts really well, gets really good and then goes a bit off.
The typical JJ Abrams progression.
Well worth watching though in that scientists never questioning whether they should sort of way.
Marshalls holds your interest but it is a very old school show. Very different from the streaming shows it was born from.
Procedural. People speak in an on a TV show way. A bit of unecessary explaining
A sort of formula competence with a character people like.
Started reading this. It's an interesting one. What happens if the nine criminals given secret identities because of their crimes are discovered?

In many ways, at least in terms of its narrative framing / pitch, this would make WAY more sense than tring The X Files again.
That's assuming the new X Files doesn't turn into Millennium.
I don't act. I don't do voices. I don't think the #ttrpg experience is about acting. I think it's a 'written' experience.
I focus on the time and texture of the experience rather than the acting talent.
I'm much better at writing than acting, so it makes sense!

It could also be just all levels of "there is always someone worse fucked up."
I'll see if I last it out.
"My name is jungle pussy and this is what power looks like."
Sorry, is this like a revolutionary comedy or something.
Also, white man with morals gets involved with revolutionary black folks.
This won awards right? Weird, maybe it builds to something.
What a bunch of self-centred, narcissist, revolutionary assholes.
Started watching One Battle After Another.
So, this is going to be interesting from a morality perspective.
I always remember a video of a female comedian being heckled about what she would do if you were a man for a day.
She thought about it for a moment and then said - just walk the streets at night alone :)
In a small, infinitesimal way (I am not deluding myself, I am filmmaking - I've seen YouTube videos that do that and they're way beyond what I am talking about), it is a move to being a bit more like filmmaking or documentary-like.
I may fail completely, but as I say, series of challenges. /end
The way you film has to change when collecting footage. You then have to hope you have enough. Then your edit becomes a TRUE edit in the sense that you're actually 'constructing something' rather than just assembling it.
Obviously, this all takes more time /3
One of the big challenges this year is to disconnect how I construct my videos from a straight-up 'natural order of the footage' approach.
I want to try and (1) find the story and then (2) edit in the context of a framed idea/narrative rather than just order of events.
It's quite challenging /2
I have a weird approach to YouTube (probably the wrong one, based on growth, etc.), in that it's a series of personal challenges.
Learning to edit. Learning to speak naturally on camera, etc. This is why I value it as it honestly grows me as a person - I am literally a different person etc /1
Our firm is monitoring use, then transferring that use to put people onto categories and then based on your category expected innovations per quarter.
Now, what counts as an innovation fan is a bit 'riiigjhhht' but still.
It's like a crazy cult.
There were six seasons of Girls? It's such a long time ago now so I have no idea how many of them I've watched but I don't think it was six.
47% of.comoqnies expect entry level roles to be eliminated by 2027.
I am still trying to get my head around whether this makes any sense.
I get there are some jobs that people just skipping might be a good thing but it also feels a bit odd.
Cinemacon always seems like a cook convention to go to. I get it's for exhibitors, and not normal folks, but based on TouTube folks that do get to go it does seem rather cool.
Yesterday I learned how much each street building Lego set cost.
I thought it was a quaint little thing and then I found these things are like hundreds of quid
I now have two weeks off in May but nothing booked to do in that period.
I am debating cancelling the PTO or taking it as a project opportunity.
I guess we shall see .
