A news article from Salzburger Nachrichten featuring a photo of a vaccination scene. In the image, a young woman with light skin and blonde hair, wearing a blue surgical mask and light blue top, looks slightly to the side as she receives an injection in her upper arm. A healthcare worker, also wearing a mask and blue gloves, administers the vaccine with a syringe. The setting appears to be a clinical or vaccination room.

Below the image, the headline reads: “Covid connection? Four out of ten Austrians can no longer taste or smell, or hardly at all.”

The article text explains that a high proportion of people in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland report loss of smell and/or taste, with prevalence around 40%, based on survey data from 2,340 participants.

The article is dated April 7, 2026, with a reading time of 1 minute.

Serj Tankian chose to wear a mask while signing autographs at his new coffee venue Kavat Coffee earlier this week.

Protecting your health and the community around you is still relevant and still matters. Clean air and small precautions aren’t overreactions, they’re care in action.

I really despise how risky hospitals are for respiratory transmission today.

Its mitigatable right up to the point you have an issue that makes it not mitigatable.

Hospitals should not be a place of unmanaged risk resulting in health danger.

The Australian data also seems to show a jump in GBS (Guillain-Barré syndrome) incidence among the 75+ cohort, since COVID-19 became widespread here.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.
