Wolfgang and Kevin Hsieh Section I - Content: Chapter proposals for this section of the book explore how art + design are outlets for self-expression; finding a sense of belonging; resistance; and constructing new cultures related to gender and sexual identities. The focus on this section will be how artists challenge societal and inequitable norms, as well as how queering art + design content encourages empathy and promotes justice in art + design classrooms. Section II - Pedagogy: This section will feature pedagogical strategies for queering art + design education: strategies for the k12 classrooms, museum settings, + community spaces, as well as other sites for teaching + learning.
