What's depressing is, going back and reading articles about that, how much the conversation about racial consciousness in the media has changed, and also how little it's changed.
Like, when Rush Limbaugh died, there was not a single point that people could point to like “wow, he was totally right about this.” But there were sure a lot of people pointing to him being wrong about AIDs, climate change, and smoking.
Tangentially related, but whenever these old conservative commentators or pundits re-enter the news, usually because they’ve died, it’s always a reminder that conservatives are usually wrong and are almost never vindicated by the passage of time!

The FF7 characters kinda got Flanderized in the worst way in FF7 expanded material. Like, a lot of folks forget how spunky Aerith was in the first disk, and that Cloud was only obnoxiously broody when he was poorly projecting Zack onto himself.
