Usually, a magical beast would lend them their power or give them their body parts, in exchange for a witch's magic that would free them of a curse or heal their injury.

But they get along well with magical beasts who lived a long life. They will usually always have some kind of agreement to help each other in times of need with an equal exchange of favor.

Bcs once they tried to help, humans will try to use them for their greed, and a witch would have no choice but to obliterate everything that stood in her way. No human should be able to control a witch or use it for their personal gain. A witch's blessings are given to those worthy of a witch's love

A witch's life is long. And yet, the mortals's life are fleeting. A witch will move from one place frequently, usually once every hundred years. And so they will witness a lot of mankind's history, without ever interfering, just observing from far.

That's why it's common for a witch to take a small abandoned kid as an apprentice. They believe that no kid was born with malice in their heart. After that kid comes of age, however, the witch will let them go and erase their memories of her.

But a witch wouldn't fall in love easily. As they were once betrayed in the past, though the memories are gone, the feelings remain. A witch wouldn't fall for someone without a pure heart.

When a witch falls in love with someone, that person will be blessed with immense luck and prosper. That's why many human (and non human) seeked for a witch's love.
