Thanks to Google’s Generative AI we can commemorate Poetry Month with a timely haiku about tyranny.
A screenshot of a text conversation discussing chaotic and troubling conditions at NOAA, expressing concerns about the administration's lack of care and the need for legislative attention.
My friend from the NOAA lab that brings you the Keeling Curve wants that world to know that things are horrible inside NOAA.
Generally someone who inflicts this level of self-harm is 5150ed for their own and others’ safety.

Maybe there will be an upside to anti-DEI federal policies.* 😜🙄🤦🏽♀️
Because of course if you remove words like “women”you wouldn’t be able to continue the so-called “pink tariffs” on clothing. Right? Tariffs can no longer identify clothing for “women” right?

Super sad about Juju Watkins' torn ACL.
I wish the news wouldn't keep showing the injury replay.
I'm so grateful she's got access to excellent care. I have no doubt she'll rock the rehab.
We're up to 137 lawsuits against the regime.

After seeing Duke beat Notre Dame & then become ACC champs this year, I think Pat Summit would’ve been so proud of what Coach Kara Lawson is doing.
Anyone know how successful NCAA wbb coaches are when they “talk” to refs about bad calls?
Cuz that’s kind of how I feel right now ranting about the coup.
Hatchling #3 is here! 🥰🥰
Our ability to see this was brought to us by a scientist: Sandy Steers. She set up the cam.
Bald eagles’ comeback was made possible by conservationists & legislators who passed the Endangered Species Act in the 1970s.
Everything we do today shapes our future - and theirs.
So glad this is happening all over the country.
This is indeed a question I keep asking.
Note: this doesn’t really answer it.

Of course it was. Exactly.
Marching isn’t what I’m talking about.
And don’t mistake the meaning of civil, it’s disobedience - I’m not seeing much. Most marching isn’t disobedience.
😢
THIS ‼️
I wonder who, if anyone, is doing the trainings I went through decades ago on civil disobedience, peaceable assembly, and nonviolent response & safety.
And more and more I’ve been wondering who else feels like it’s time.
A graffiti-covered truck parked in an urban setting with red brick buildings in the background. The artwork features the bold message "TAX THE RICH" in bright yellow and pink bubble letters against a red brick wall backdrop. On the left, Mr. Burns from The Simpsons is depicted wearing a top hat and tuxedo, smirking as he clutches a money bag. On the right, Scrooge McDuck looks shocked and distressed, dressed in his iconic blue coat.
A satirical street poster by artist Harry Greb featuring "Trumpenstein," a caricature of Donald Trump as a Frankenstein-like monster. The red and black artwork mimics vintage horror movie posters, with Trump depicted in a hunched pose, reaching forward with exaggerated hands and an eerie expression. Below, the tagline reads: "The monster that terrorized the world!" A dark city skyline in the background enhances the ominous tone. Displayed on a public advertising board against a brick wall, the poster critiques Trump's political influence in a bold, graphic style.
By Harry Greb.
I had a tshirt with this image decades ago. It always makes me feel better. It works when we do it.
A stencil mural on a red brick wall in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. The artwork features a bold yellow background divided into two sections. The top shows a single large black fish surrounded by smaller fish scattered in disarray, with the text "DO NOT PANIC." The bottom section illustrates the smaller fish united to form a larger, powerful fish, swimming together to face the bigger fish, accompanied by the text "ORGANIZE." The piece delivers a powerful social message of unity and collective strength against challenges. A black fence runs along the bottom edge of the mural.

I think I need to shift my ratios.
Maybe today could be a 5:1 day-for every 5 political posts (the horrifying, outrageous, terrifying), 1 post with birds, wildlife, murals, cute pups. Or “nice mushrooms”!
I need to change my following ratio to get there.
And my own posts could certainly change.
