I customised an M4 Pro to be more powerful about 2.5 months ago (bought it right before M5 came out) and Iโm very happy. I both train/fine-tune and use computational models to process v-large datasets. But before this I had an M1 Air (from work that I couldnโt keep) & it was fine most of the time.

I fully agree - it can be helpful but I will never trust it to solve anything by itself.
Not to make things harder, and not saying that you donโt already do this anyway - just flagging that double checking whatever Claude tells you is imperative bc while it can be useful, it both introduces a lot of mistakes AND flags things as errors when they actually arenโt.
