The culture war issues and so-called "kitchen-table" economic issues are indelibly linked. Repubs exploit culture war grievances while ignoring the economic plight of workers. Dems shy away from countering right-wing culture war attacks bc they see them as a distraction from economic inequality.

One of the many ironies here is that if Dems leaned hard into New Deal style welfare state policies meant to help working class people of all genders, races, ethnicities, and religions, of whatever immigration status, it would be met with rabid opposition yet would prove insanely popular if passed.
100%. He's just an absolute ghoul

A decent chance RFK Jr. actually literally does eat shit because he thinks it will make his toenails more muscular or whatever
This is pretty much what Stephen Miller actually looks like, but with more hair

It is not polite to make fun of the physical appearance of the elderly unless the appearance is the perfect physical manifestation of how evil that person is
If you use "leverage" as a verb, I lose respect for you as a thinker
From “The Simpsons” house genius John Swartzwelder, interviewed in The New Yorker by Mike Sacks
The thing about kids is that when you're around them it's not about you. It's about them. That's the way it works. So people who are good around kids are comfortable that it's not always about them. They're also comfortable with uncertainly, because you never know what kids are going to say!
Yes, I know that The Advocate has been around for years. That doesn't mean that phrasing isn't "both sidesing" this. That's exactly what it's doing.
The idea that there is a human being *around* the vagina, a person who is just as real as they are, is a reality they simply are too cowardly to accept. So they conclude that women who insist on being treated as full-fledged human beings are "brainwashed."
What these men want is a maid that they get to fuck whenever they want. They don't want a partner. They don't want an equal. That's why the women around them tell them to fuck off. That's what makes them losers.
A lot of misogyny boils down to men thinking that a woman's vagina is something they should be able to own.
Very telling that one of these losers refers to this as a "life hack." That term is used incessantly nowadays, and it's always used to describe what amounts to cutting corners to get something that only comes through effort and often sacrifice and always genuine introspection.
Also, "critics say"? Come the fuck on.
I'm a straight dad and yes, this is absolutely fucked up.
brilliant -- Morning Joe put together clips of Pete Hegseth reciting a fake Bible quote from Pulp Fiction, along with the Samuel L. Jackson scene from the movie
I live outside D.C., and work in what amounts to a suburb. I started taking the Metro, and then a bus, to work, and I agree. It's great!
I happen to think highlighting the bad-faith strategy at work here is more productive than trying to dispute the bad-faith argument with evidence to the contrary

Cut faculty (or non-replace) so you offer fewer classes so fewer people enroll so you cut faculty so you offer fewer classes so fewer people enroll so then the market has spoken.
