I never thought being Catholic would be a defining label of mine. We all share an incredible timeline with some of the worst people.
I challenge whomever reads this to do one nice thing today for another person. Pass this on. It only takes one candle to penetrate the darkness.

If you want an interactive book, you do not need AI to make up slopped shite. Go look at the 90s, find a pick-your-own-adventure story and enjoy using your brain. It’s healthier.

This #kidlit #biography about Ursula Nordstrom by @nancyhudgins.com was fantastic. I’ve made a list of all the books I want to read this summer that were mentioned in this book. Surprisingly, there were a handful that were completely new to me.
I am thoroughly enjoying this. There’s a really cool reading project coming together in my mind to begin upon finishing it.
“But we never choose which ones to use,” explained the earl as they walked toward the market stalls, “for as long as they mean what they mean to mean we don’t care if they make sense or nonsense.”

This thing is massive! I don’t doubt that I’m going to thoroughly enjoy it.
I finally came across this magnificent tome in the wild. Immediate buy. Looks like I know what I’m reading next once my current stack of books comes to completion. Of course, I’ll probably read a few pages here & there just to give myself a teaser. Published by @utexaspress.bsky.social.
This #biography by @nancyhudgins.com about Ursula Nordstrom is definitely a title added to the #WoltjerFamilyBookClub reading list. I can already imagine the conversations this book will generate amongst my daughters.
These two essays are easily the best essays I’ve read in the past year or two. Dang, it’s been a minute since I’ve encountered such an intense, emotional, & truly satisfying back-to-back reading experience.
I am absolutely adoring this #biography of Ursula Nordstrom by @nancyhudgins.com. Nordstrom was such a force for children’s literature—in so many different ways. I’m excited to share this book with my children.
Took a break from chores and went with my wife and daughter to the library’s book sale. I found some treasures. Then I treated them to some fabulous shawarma. It’s been a good day.

I came upon this book in a “free” bin. I grabbed it only because I’ve not read these stories from this legendary wordsmith. I was not expecting to find his signature in the book.
Happy hunting, my friend!
I think my first movie was Back to the Future. I was five.
This movie terrified my father when he was a boy. I remember him telling me about this before he passed and never thought about it as a book. I hope I come across it in the wild.
This essay by Zito Madu hits hard. If only we leaned in to what connects us rather than focusing on our differences.
