surely no army in military history has ever been laid low by disease, a famously uncommon problem among people living in enforced close quarters

This is, I think, what's so important about this analysis—we're talking people actively seeking power over millions of people.
That power carries with it enormous responsibility, not least of which is demonstrating that you care about all of your constituents.

I spent today at the hospital and didn’t see a single respirator (other than my own).

There were a few people wearing surgical masks.

Signs saying it was a “mask friendly” environment.

No free masks.

No mask mandates.

Tons of coughing & sickness.

Masks belong in healthcare. Period.

Yeah, I'm real tired of this narrative that disabled people "enjoyed" lockdown. Lockdown sucked. It just sucked less than dying of COVID, a thing the abled world doesn't care about anymore.

I'm also tired of abled people mourning their time in lockdown more than they mourn the 1.2 million dead.

Being 1000% clear, your immunocompromised friends (you have them, right? Well, you do now) weren’t happy with lockdown because we hate people and didn’t want to hang out.

We miss lockdown because that’s when abled people acted like they cared if we died.

yes most people are uncomfortable by themselves for extended periods of time, that is why solitary confinement is literally considered cruel and unusual punishment, have you considered that you may have something to work out with a professional

Also, for myself, im just going to sit at home counting down the minutes until it's time for me to leave.

So I might as well go ahead and go to the airport.

If I erase my knowledge of the LOTR films, does that mean I also get to re-read the books for the first time?

Or do i still have book knowledge and I'm going like on their release?

Either way I'm taking the LOTR trilogy.

Tbf, if companies are going to keep making perv glasses and the government isn't going to regulate them, I want them to look as fucking stupid and obvious as possible.

This would be a perfect excuse for Mamdani to provide leadership and issue a demand to NYC hospitals that have withdrawn from gender care for youths.

I will absolutrly criticize people for attending. It’s a grotesque spectacle nobody who cares about press freedom should dignify with their presence.

mRNA technology may be THE most underrated and unfairly scrutinized (fuck you COVID antivax crew) medical breakthrough in my lifetime.

Like... The things this is already showing it can do in the last 5-7 years is incredible.

This is REALLY interesting.
I don't know how it's tracking, but this could be a great in real time proxy.

This is pretty cool. The sleep cycle app has a cough radar feature for big cities using anonymized aggregate data from users

every "passport bro" post going back decades on their nasty little forums is "i'm going to purchase a woman from asia who can cook and never talks back to me because i'm tired of women being able to tell me to fuck off"

"passport bros" are not at all new and they are not "frustrated with modern dating" they just want women who are completely subservient to them and have zero power in their own lives

the president of the united states is personally looting the treasury to the tune of literally billions of dollars and that he is not being immediately removed from office and tried for high crimes against this country is a devastating indictment of every part of our political system

Here’s Trump bragging about making the U.S. a country that no one wants to come to and many want to leave.

"Those taxes you just paid? The money is going straight into Trump's pocket" would be good messaging

I'm really tired of a two tiered election system where real candidates have to have real policies and are held to often brutal standards

and clown vibe candidates can be caught in print defending war crimes and saying slurs and refuse to cover it or care.

If this actually happens, it may rank as the single most corrupt act in the history of American politics. I cannot believe this is even under discussion.

This is a travesty. If making allegedly questionable constitutional arguments is a disbarrable offense, bar disciplinary tribunals would be in permanent session.

This is a travesty.
John represented the President in litigation challenging an election. That's all.
He lied about nothing. Reasonable minds can disagree about the 2020 election....
