nice! I'm a big fan of the App-Store-Connect CLI. Vlad, would love your thoughts on ButterKit too (butterkit.app)

rolling out ButterKit v1.8.10 today with support for all 50 App Store Connect localizations (11 new). Also experimenting with new video formats to share updates
Getting a good pre-order page ready still takes real work though. ButterKit helped me a lot there. (butterkit.app )
v1.7.10 is rolling out now with new translation controls, better image positioning, bug fixes, more butter ๐ง butterkit.app/changelog
New free App Store template just dropped for butterkit.app! Was it worth spending so much time animating it? Not sure, but it was fun!
Annnnd unit tests saved me again!
How are folks managing their music these days? I listen from Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and some blogs. And Iโm thinking of going back to buying albums. Streaming is great for discovery but I miss the simplicity (and speed) of music apps 10 years ago
Lately been focused on building ButterKit, a native macOS app for App Store screenshots, localization, and publishing.
Curious what your App Store workflows look like:
- QA
- Capturing from Xcode
- Framing in 3D
- Localization
What's working for you?
Those still work!
One of those "I wish I knew earlier" Xcode tips: disable "Debug executable" in Product > Scheme > Edit Scheme to make compiling WAY faster. Probably 2x faster on my machine.
(Logs still show btw)
AI now gets you 80% there very fast.
The last 20% is what will separate everything..
Nice how are you learning SwiftUI?
My dev tools keep changing, but this week:
โข Claude Code (Opus 4.5)
โข Cursor (I like being able to see the file structure) + new SwiftUI skills from @twannl + Cupertino MCP)
โข Trying out the new version of @sketch for UI ๐
What's working for you?
๐ it looks awesome!
Ahh yes I experienced that too when using an external monitor sometimes. It should be fixed in the latest release but let me know if you ever see it again!
Ok this looks really good, downloading now! How did ButterKit work for you? Any issues?
hey iOS devs ๐
what are you building right now? working on anything interesting on the side?
would love to connect and hear what you're up to
Testing a smoother translation UI with multi-select, Apple localization market data, and improved animations via Metal shaders
Hey I use (and build) butterkit.app : ) It's one of the few options without a required subscription (a big reason I built it) and handles capture from Xcode Simulator, editing in 3D, translating, and uploading to App Store Connect. Are you using any tools right now?
โจ๐ง v1.6 is rolling out now: new text tools, Apple Watch 3D model, improved performance, and more butter! butterkit.app #BuildInPublic #AppStore
Adding some delight to the license activation flow in ButterKit today. Highly recommend the ConfettiSwiftUI Swift Package, fun to implement!
๐ get ready for NavigationFoldView!!
Anyone designing App Store screenshots? Me too. Sharing some things I've learned so far:
โข Practical tips to tell an app's story
โข The impact of social proof (aka reviews)
โข Why "negative-space" is a positive thing
โข Miller's Law
โข Adding a human touch (avoiding slop)

Yeah that was weird! It was a simple typo but was linking to a random Discord channel. Fixed now! Thanks for letting me know
Thanks for the ButterKit shoutout, Jordan!
ButterKit v1.1.3 is rolling out now with Markdown support and some improvements to camera movement/animations
Keep going!
I remember this one!
ButterKit now translates to 50+ languages for localizing your App Store screenshots for App Store Connect. You can now optionally bring your own OpenAI API key for broader coverage, while the built-in local (free) translations stay available for quick, free runs.

Excited to share the TestFlight beta of a new project: a Mac-native screenshot studio: capture screenshots from Xcode Simulator, edit in 3D w/ automatic translations, and batch export. Free in beta, feedback appreciated!
