So much more keen to let thoughts fly here and enjoy it. Life. Coming from someone obsessed with growing social media presence and being in engagement whatever’s I really wanted to have my work seen, now I just vibe, my work is seen heard listened too all over the world every day.

The crazy part is what people hate is actually the systems and communities not the technology.

That is what I think with LLMs commonly called “AI”, decentralized finance commonly called crypto/defi.

..and the thing is you’re right to hate most times, these are derivative silly systems

When I’m working with 3-D stuff sometimes it helps me to have some references nearby but references downloaded and accessed that way is way more helpful than references constant

I genuinely don’t need the Internet for many hours in my craft and sometimes the Internet, actively distracts or distracts from my process.

One of the things that has me constantly disconnected from the love that so many people I think have for the “convenience“ of software as a service platforms is being a musician who used a significant portion of off-line tools for my craft.

I still believe in RSS feeds and pure markdown and HTML/css and stupid stable websites and blogs and books and scenes and photographs things that are technology, but do not require the Internet. I find that so much of our common technological discourse is centred around internet/social media

That thing is these kind of email list type platforms where you have an entire ecosystem of marketing kind of shoved at you, don’t get me wrong as a person who pays a lot of attention to economics. This is a ridiculously good financial play, but it just has early signs of feeling gross

Obviously a work in progress but like I want you to go to my website intentionally I don’t care about where else it is, it’s my own space, this social web space has the potential to do amazing things but become something really annoying in the near future.

This is the antithesis of what I want to do with my own website wylson.net
