It's a crazy decision. But can we stop pretending this latest American administration is on our side? Thanks!

It despicable that the likes of Sky and TNT continue to use betting companies, during every break. I thought there were supposed to be more control over this now?

Opportunities to transform nature don’t get much bigger than this!

We have the opportunity to conserve 340 acres (138 hectares) of biodiverse countryside surrounding the Cerne Abbas Giant, Dorset.

I finally came to the end of the Rose Field and I felt sad to be coming to the end of Lyra's story. I know there were mixed views from some people, but I did enjoy it. I have to say thanks to Philip Pullman for writing such a fantastic character and along with HDM, I will continue to love the story.

A colourful graphic titled 'Help wildlife beat the heat' with illustrations and tips on creating natural habitats. Tips include letting grass grow long to provide cool refuge for insects, planting shrubs for shade, setting up shallow water stations for hydration, and creating muddy puddles to help nesting birds, amphibians and reptiles. The scene depicted shows a garden for wildlife, with long grass, pools of water, trailing plants and a muddy puddle set against a fence. The sun is pictured in the top right in orange hues.

A headline from The Guardian reads: “Fund for nature-friendly farming to be slashed in UK spending review.” Below it, a line of bright green tractors ploughs wide, bare furrows into a large field. The image underscores the scale of UK farming and the warning that vital support for restoring nature is about to be cut.

The warning couldn’t be clearer. ⚠️

Slashing the nature-friendly farming budget would be catastrophic for the nature and climate crisis, and for our long-term food security.

What's more, it would leave the UK Government’s credibility on climate and nature in tatters.

UK charities urge ministers to stop scapegoating nature for planning failures Exclusive: RSPB and National Trust among groups saying rhetoric from Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer at odds with public sentiment Nature charities with a combined membership of about 8 million people are pressing the prime minister and chancellor to stop demonising wildlife and to urgently strengthen environmental protections in new planning laws. Organisations which are household names, such as the RSPB, the National Trust and the Wildlife Trusts, are calling on MPs to back amendments to the planning and infrastructure bill to end what they say is the scapegoating of nature for the failures of the planning system. They say the anti-nature rhetoric employed by Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer, who has labelled environmental objectors as “blockers”, is at odds with public sentiment. Continue reading...

The 90% declines of Nightingale since the 1960s have been recorded by @btobirds.bsky.social #CBC and @bbs-birds.bsky.social volunteers. As well as woodland habitat and management changes in the UK, this tracking study also shows how non-breeding areas are just as important.

Notable how the UK under Starmer sometimes, if you squint & mainline some hopium, can look briefly advantaged by being unhitched to the EU but then reality/Trump bites & you realise that Brexit, always an act of unutterable stupidity, has made an already awful situation immeasurably worse for us.

Why do media organisations allow this man airtime to spread around misinformation, especially when there is so much being floated around by various people with ulterior motives. We need to limit people like him, he peddles in lies and fake news. Stop feeding the trolls.

No, Trump has destroyed America in the eyes of the world.

No, that's pretty easy. Cancel it, he's just proved he cannot be trusted. The sooner we part from America the better.

A timely moment to remember that Donald Trump dodged the draft & JD Vance wondered a few short years ago whether he would turn out to be 'America's Hitler'...

let me be completely clear: FUCK YOU & FUCK YOUR VOICE NOTE. i didn't spend two decades ignoring voicemails demanding to be texted instead just so millennials could come along and dump 5 minute voice notes of distracted gibberish with a single kernel of useful information.
