Pennsylvania's motor-voter system effectively screens non-citizens from voter registration • Pennsylvania Capital-Star The audit also revealed problems with PennDOT’s data security protocols and recommended tighter internal controls.

Pennsylvania's auditor general, a Republican, audited 210,000+ new voter registrations under Gov. Shapiro's new motor voter system to see if noncitizens were registering to vote.

They found one. One.

And that was because a PennDOT staffer erred. It was fixed before the driver left the office.

DHS official tells state election chiefs there won't be ICE agents at polling places Members of the Trump administration held a call with state election officials around the country ahead of this year's midterm elections.

New w @janetimm.bsky.social: In the feds' first call with states since gutting CISA's election programs, they promised no ICE at polling places, but weirdly refused to reaffirm states run elections, per people on the call.

I'm at a DC conference of state election officials (NASS), where in less than an hour someone from government might speak!

Trump admin asked this week for AG Bondi and DHS chief Noem to speak. NASS reworked sched to add a 3pm event titled "DOJ, DHS, DNI". That's all we know.

(1) If it’s a statutory challenge: convince Congress to pass a law.

(2) If it’s a constitutional challenge: try to amend the Constitution.

(3) If that fails: rally voters to elect politicians to do (1) and/or (2).

(4) If that also fails: question whether he is wildly popular.

Dozens of DOGE ‘receipts’ saved no money and killed contracts meant to boost efficiency Many of the receipts published by Elon Musk’s DOGE aren’t receipts at all — they’re negotiated deals with vetted vendors who might do future government work.

Many of DOGE’s “wall of savings” and canceled contracts include many eye-popping “receipts.”

There’s just one problem, @janetimm.bsky.social writes:

Many of the so-called receipts aren’t receipts. They’re negotiated agreements with known government contractors, who might provide future services.
