An acrylic marker sketch of a disembodied (but alive) demon girl's head, smiling with a forked tongue, wide yellow and red eyes, and purple hair. She's being held aloft by two blue bats holding onto green ribbons tied in her hair.

It turns out acrylic markers are fun to sketch with.

Trump Is Said to Be in Talks to Send Afghans Who Aided U.S. Forces to Congo

This is monstrous. Just profoundly shameful behavior by our government.

The trick is they're the same thing. The people Russia pays don't work for Russia, they just do work that's good for Russia. And nothing's better for Russia at the moment than NATO being besieged by right-wing antisemitism. They'll settle for left-wing antisemitism. Whatever makes liberalism stumble

SORRY STILL THINKING ABOUT THIS SHOW

Two big points about the Newcomers:

- They were physically way, WAY stronger than humans, like effortlessly so, but also
- Saltwater, like normal ocean water? The *sea?* It burned them like acid. Even the smell of it bothered them

I loved that juxtaposition

Well, either that or the Russians have decided Trump's more trouble than he's worth and are telling one of their other whores to change up the message.

Tricky part is safe and accurate beaming of GW of power to rectennas on Earth.

One solution I've seen pitched was to beam the power as near infrared light onto existing solar fields. Although I'm not an RF guy so I can't speak to its effectiveness.

We've actually gotten a lot better at making large area photovoltaics for space. Redwire has their unrollable system on the ISS. Starlink V2 has 116m2 array generating 25kW, and they built/flew ~3,000 last year.

Building and flying solar arrays at scale is the easy part.

For a sense of scale, note the ladder behind it to the right. Roman has a 2.4-meter mirror, so its roughly 3 meters wide.

multiverses can work as isolated alternates or one-shots, they are a terrible idea to introduce to a franchise because they come to dominate the franchise

GALLEGO: Earlier today, you told Sec. Kennedy that Trump never demanded you to cut interest rates. Is that your sworn testimony?

WARSH: That is, senator.

GALLEGO: Okay. Well someone here is lying then. Because Trump confirmed he pressed you on interest rate cuts.

The amount of changes we need to make to the court should require a 14th amendment-level factory reset to the Constitution

At this point court-packing isn't enough. We need to jail and disbar some SCOTUS justices.

Obama certainly got blamed for TARP and the other unpopular Wall Street bailouts that mostly happened under Bush. Later, there was an entire news cycle blaming Obama for bailed-out AIG paying big bonuses (which Obama had no control over or authority to stop because of how Bush designed the bailouts)
