thank you!!!! i was kinda sad at first since i went from an office job working on something related to my degree to a bookstore/retail job, but the pay is so much better in the end and i have so much fun, i just can't be sad/mad about it anymore lol

in the end, the only bad thing about the job are the long shifts, but my co-workers are chill so it's not as bad

the bookstore is located in a super touristic mall, so i get to interact with a lot of foreign customers, which is fun! got to practice my English speaking skills lately!

only bad thing about the job is that i have mall/retail hours/shifts so yeah....10 hour shifts .... BUT bookstores are chill, the customers usually like to be left alone unless they ask for recommendations

i read a lot at work, so I'm not mad hehe

it's still customer service job, true, but the salary is so worth it, it's a chain of bookstores that also has it's own publishing house so they sell their own books + other books

which is why they pay so much lol anyway i love it here, the employee discount on books is just *chef's kiss* as well

i haven't really posted here in ages, but small update about my life is that i got a full-time job at a bookstore and like, when people told me i was lucky cause that specific bookstore pays above normal retail jobs i thought they were exaggerating but man

i make more than at my old office job lmao
