hard not to love a synthpop song that borrows the form of, like, a George Jones/Tammy Wynette duet

Ok but did they advocate for that award to be introduced by a skit with the cast of BRIDESMAIDS making fun of the entire profession

It’s funny how the people who make this show work really hard to make it a good show, but when the best thing ever to happen in the show’s history happened — accidentally giving the top award to the wrong movie — they were probably really sad

Welp, now everyone's going to call Barbra Streisand "Babs." When will she learn?

The person who did the screenwriting for that bit Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. just did does NOT deserve an award

So, I see what you were going for with the phrase "compliment sandwich" — it's a cool name! I'm not sure it quite fits? Sandwiches are named for the filling, not the bread — it's "ham sandwich," not "rye sandwich.” Maybe "criticism sandwich" would work better? But you gave us a great starting point!

LGBTQ demographics of the United States - Wikipedia

This handy Wikipedia table (using data from 2005, not sure if more recent numbers exist) suggests that the gayest city in America is, unsurprisingly, San Francisco. Washington finishes a very respectable ninth, after those well-known gay meccas Sacramento and Denver en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBTQ_d...

Donald Trump’s Big Gay Government

This NYT story, absurdly, refers to Washington as “the gayest city in America.”

If you click the link, the data actually shows that the District of Columbia is the gayest state or state-like entity in America. That's really different!

Shabbat Shalom to everyone who recognizes that the safety, freedom & thriving of Jews and Muslims are bound up together — in Israel & Palestine, across the five boroughs, and in many other beloved places.

One of the happiest things to happen in my lifetime is that SMiLE — the masterpiece lost to madness, the perfect record trapped in a parallel universe, the unmet promise of ’60s pop — is now just a wonderful album that you can listen to whenever you like

Brian Wilson was my friend and my brother in songwriting.
We shared a similar sensibility, as evidenced by his 4 over 5 chord under “Aaaah!” in "Good Vibrations” and mine under "I’m into something good.”
We once discussed who used it first, and in the end we decided it didn’t matter.
