Episodes 7-9 of Andor are the best TV this year and in my opinion the best Star Wars maybe ever.

Luka seems dazed in his first Lakers press conference.

Cancelling awards season would do much more harm than good. So many jobs are tied to these productions. There are ways to let the show go on while still acknowledging the tragedy and helping lift up the city. The people of Los Angeles need this.

Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System on the scene of the Palisades Fire. These USAF C-130's can be retrofitted with MAFFS in a couple of hours and drop 3,000 pounds of fire retardant in five seconds.

Los Angeles is experiencing its driest winter since drought data started being recorded in 1850. Historic tinderbox dry conditions, made worse by a warming planet, combined with hurricane force winds. That's the answer your looking for.

I'm down in the Valley but hear the helicopters going to and from VNY from my house. Watching them on local news and Flightradar with awe. The crews attacking the Palisades Fire from the air and ground in the dark and holding the line at Mandeville Canyon above Encino are absolute heroes.

This is no joke. I've never seen a wind event like this. Having covered wildfire for decades, I know exactly how fast it moves in normal Santa Ana events, but this? This is crazy. Assume the worst. Prepare.

I've lived in Los Angeles for 28 years and I have never seen a wind event like this in all that time.

LAFD Spokesperson Margaret Stewart is urging drivers to not leave their vehicles on the roads amid reports that some evacuees may be abandoning their cars along Palisades Drive – a major evacuation artery.

KEY POINT - There are very few roads in and out of the evacuation zone, so road congestion is a major concern as residents try to flee and emergency crews rush toward the flames.

An evacuation center has been set up at the Westwood Recreation Center according to LAFD

A nuclear reactor was melting down. Jimmy Carter came to the rescue. In 1952, Lt. Jimmy Carter, then 28, was one of the few people in the world qualified to enter a damaged nuclear reactor and help take it apart.

My favorite part of Jimmy Carters amazing story. A truly selfless American. RIP Mr. President.

Zeros in the first quarter against the Cardinals. Love my LA Rams but even if they pull out a win tonight, I’m not sure they are a good playoff team. A team ready for the playoffs would be easily beating the Cardinals.

HBO's Yacht Rock doc on Max is fantastic. Can't recommend it enough. My son is a drummer and the late Chet McCracken of the Doobie Brothers is one of his former teachers and it just blows me away my kid learned from one of the many incredible band and session musicians who live in Los Angeles.

Everyone hates LAX but one of thing is undeniable, flights take off and land on-time. I don't really care about the rest of it.

Los Angeles is my home, I’ve lived here a very long time. LA is my favorite place but I can acknowledge that’s a poorly run city and always has been regardless of the political ideology of its leadership. Its geography and fabulously diverse, creative and hardworking citizenry are why it thrives.
