oh this, I don't know. But I am more aware for what I put on linked in or resumes or articles I write. I know what feels like AI slop to me when I am scrolling, but after seeing some of how the AI speech patterns are analyzed, it makes me think I'll have to pause more and edit or change my style

It's more just my style, I feel like I have to game the anti-AI agents now so I don't get flagged
✔️modal populates with saved roles when opened (had to go through a bunch of code rewrite because the mongo methods would not work with how I was formatting the keys 🙃)
✔️max height and z-index fixed
✔️solved for edge case to avoid choosing the same person for more than one role

I was pleasantly surprised. But whenever I watch it, I just get an itch that I'd rather be playing it haha
Opening text of a thread by Palantir from X Because we get asked a lot. The Technological Republic, in brief. 1. Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible. The engineering elite of Silicon Valley has an affirmative obligation to participate in the defense of the nation. 2. We must rebel against the tyranny of the apps. Is the iPhone our greatest creative if not crowning achievement as a civilization? The object has changed our lives, but it may also now be limiting and constraining our sense of the possible. 3. Free email is not enough. The decadence of a culture or civilization, and indeed its ruling class, will be forgiven only if that culture is capable of delivering economic growth and security for the public. 4. The limits of soft power, of soaring rhetoric alone, have been exposed. The ability of free and democratic societies to prevail requires something more than moral appeal. It requires hard power, and hard power in this century will be built on software.
Palantir put out a 22-point summary of their CEO's book The Technological Republic. It's pitched as a defence of the West, but if you read it through the VDA framework, verification, deliberation, accountability, what it's actually doing looks rather different.

That's all for today. I'm playing a new game called Clean Up Earth. I imagine this is similar to the satisfaction of the power wash sim 🌍
here's how the FBI extracted deleted Signal messages from an iPhone:

TIL: boolean math
describeAge=a=>You're a(n) ${['kid','teenager','adult','elderly'][(a>12)+(a>17)+(a>64)]}
true==1
false==0
so adding the results of the boolean evaluations gives you the index
New from 404 Media: WebinarTV is a company secretly scraping peoples' Zoom meetings and posting them online for others to watch. We've now found those include anonymous recovery programs, substance abuse meetings, etc. Supposed to be anonymous but show names and faces www.404media.co/webinartv-se...

✔️Auto-schedule missions for weekly/monthly/quarterly preferences
✔️Clean up extra missions, only one new mission at a time per contact
✔️Sorting mission list
✔️A bit of squad layout cleanup
realizing I need a visual "loading" state with skeleton or loading wheel
Improved some layout things, have some scrollable sections and styled the scroll bar a bit.
Started on some auto-scheduling logic and I reallllllly hate reasoning with Date objects :P
Almost there but will probably finish that tomorrow, my brain needs a break
#100devs
✔️Figured out where the layout was breaking for case of no mission history
-Need to fix the layout for when all missions are complete
✔️Fixed a bug where the mission timer would not pause when debrief modal was open
✔️Fixed a bug that timer was persisting after mission complete

I got mission stats hooked up and the history note entries, but now without placeholder history, the layout breaks. 🙃tomorrow is a new day!

With only the slightest apology for my language:
Who the fuck actually wants these damned data centres?

I was using EJS. Converted to react because that was next on the roadmap for the 100devs training program :)
And... done with converting the 100hrs ultra-lite mvp to react 🥳
Now I can carry on building (and fixing stuff I still think is ugly)
#100devs
I wonder what the orcas have to say about this👀
Ok, addMission and completeMission are wired up and working, I even checked off some functionality I had been planning in the process because I saw easy ways to do it with React. Sweet so now I think 90% done converting to React and maybe I can add some new stuff this week cause its spring break!
Anyone have experience using Cape? or know anyone who uses it?
Put Outlet and useLocation from react-router to use for layouts and dynamic page titles. I wanna say things are starting to click but I don't want to jinx it. But im like... 80% done converting what I had to React now. Then I can start building out more! Exciting! #100devs
JFC.
Big Tech must be stopped. It's them or us.
"If completed, phase 1 of this data center project in West Virginia, would mean Microsoft's corporate decarbonization goals are essentially dead. This is just *one* project, and...it's set to increase the tech giant's pollution footprint by 44%."
