We didn't deserve this day.
[alt text by NASA] The Moon, seen here backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse on April 6, 2026, is photographed by one of the cameras on the Orion spacecraft’s solar array wings. Orion is visible in the foreground on the left. Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon’s bottom right edge is Saturn. Beyond that, the bright spot at the right edge of the image is Mars. Credit: NASA
Whoa 🤯
The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...

High time for him to take the same peaceful path that all such types take sooner or later in the end.
Mr. FIFA Peace Prize...
Space news is way better than Earth news.

GUI of the FileForensics application.
The app is slowly taking shape. Documents (PDF, DOCX, ODT, etc.) can now be searched. Files can be filtered by type or hash lists, and I've sprinkled in a bit more color.
NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying 🥹🔭🧪 📸: NASA

Although a rhetorical question, if you want the typical German compound, I would go with: Riesenschadenfreude. You could also use a modifier like: Diebische Schadenfreude 😄

FileForensics-GUI
Implemented file search, supporting text (utf-8, utf-16), regex, and hex, and a flag column to flag interesting/uninteresting files.
📊#dataviz Ever wonder how JPEG is able to compress images without much loss in perceptual quality?
This blog post by Sophie Wang is filled with interactive demos of the steps.

Only if you want a lot of money and a shitty job ;)
Someone once said: The title is just the stamp on a coin; the person is the actual gold. In the end titles don't matter. Keep on doing what you do and create value 👍
Thank you 👋
Inkscape is basically an SVG editor (the best one). When I want to fast edit an SVG in VSCodium, I just rename the extension to .html.
A good post by Niki. With modern GUI frameworks like Tauri.app or Iced.rs, I don’t care about native UI anymore. Today, Windows 11 and macOS Tahoe suck in their own ways. Maybe tomorrow they’ll suck a little less, and my GUI will run on them just as fine. Just give me a window and leave me alone 😊
