This print is coming along nicely. The red filament didn’t do so well this try. Tweaked some settings and trying again today.

This past weekend we held our annual HackSI event celebrating our 10th anniversary! Such a fantastic experience and great turnout. It warms my heart to have this fine group of geeks attending my event.

Well shit, VNC bought an open source tool called rport. Told us they would support it and now they are closing the open source project and making it paid only. WTF?

Latest off the printer. A collapsible light saber in multicolor with a stand.

Also printed a funny door hanger for the printer and made some Nirvana guitar picks. Didn’t have yellow filament loaded so I went with red.

Got the accessories printed and installed on the Mandalorian helmet. Total print time: 22 hours.

While I was working on the guitar I felt I needed to print the 17 hour model of the Mandalorian helmet. #ThisIsTheWay

Got the body glued together and dry fit some of the parts. Will attempt to finish building this 3d printed guitar today!

Finished printing all the parts of the guitar. Now to assemble them as the rest of the parts arrive today!

Picked up another Bambu X1C printer at Microcenter today. Now to get it setup so I can print this guitar for #HackSI. 🤘

The VR Room for #HackSI is shaping up nicely. Got all new event related backgrounds up, fresh mousepads and batteries installed and finishing up the software updates.

My new #BambuLabs 3d printer arrived today. OOB it can print in up to 4 colors, upgradable to 16 colors. AND it’s crazy fast/accurate. Totally blown away by it.
