As a prosecutor, I never asked what party someone belonged to before deciding whether their conduct was acceptable. Congress should work the same way.

As a former uniformed lawyer - and the only veteran in this race - I’m committed to do everything in my power to make sure Congress does its job and brings common sense back to our foreign policy.

This endorsement couldn’t come at a more important time. From our disastrous War of Choice in Iran, to our abandonment of our allies, to playing right into the hands of adversaries like Russia and China, we’re in a scary moment for our country and for our world.

I’m honored to announce that my campaign has received an endorsement from Foreign Policy for America, an organization of former ambassadors, senior appointees, and business leaders dedicated to ensuring we have principled and responsible U.S. diplomatic leadership in the world.

I’m so proud of my Jewish heritage, but whatever your ancestry, remembrance without action is not enough - we need to look honestly at hatred throughout the world today and recommit ourselves to the hard, enduring work of building a better world and protecting human dignity.

Tonight at sundown begins Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Millions were murdered by a fascist regime that turned unfettered hatred into policy. That is history we are obligated to carry forward: to understand, reckon with, and refuse to repeat.

Imagine what $200 billion could mean for Central Kentucky and our country.

Republicans like Andy Barr want to give this administration a blank check to continue this War of Choice in Iran, even though the President says that we’ve “military won” this war.

This administration has no plan and is engaging in military action based on vibes and ego rather than national interest, and Central Kentuckians are paying the price at the gas pump.

We deserve better.

The President and Congress, after complaining loudly about the Strategic Petroleum Reserve being too low under the last administration, never refilled it.

And yet, despite the fact that the administration decided to undertake this war without an imminent threat, it seems that there was no planning at all to try to prevent Americans from dealing with spiking gas prices in addition to all the other price hikes we’ve been experiencing.

War should always be the last resort. America should have a vital national interest, clear goals, and an exit strategy.

This administration went to war with a nation that is well known for using terror tactics to choke off access to oil in the Strait of Hormuz.

This war was completely the President's choosing. He's made no attempt to explain his goals or endgame to the American people. Congress should pass the bipartisan War Powers Resolutions and hold him accountable. If they won't, we will in November.
