One of my wife's favorite movies. I love the music - can instantly recall the soundtrack at the point of that final kick!
I feel a serial killer storyline in the works....
The Mummy (2026) is a wickedly twisted film that will chill you to your core.
Overall, this film exceeded my expectations!

Not really the point of this post, but I'm increasingly frustrated with the lack of reading comp at work. We're all professionals, but way too often someone wants an in person mtg bc they were too dumb or lazy to read the material (doesn't help the biggest offender here is my boss....)
Had a shop teacher back in HS that I clearly remember telling us that prolonged exposure to loud bass tones reduced your ability to get it up...
Don't know if that was true or he just didn't like the trend of teens blasting the sub woofers in their cars!
The Forest Service just told Congress to go pound sand. Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz appeared before the House Appropriations Committee this week and made it clear the agency is moving forward with
I have the paperback from many years ago - and yes, even with that tiny print the thing is still nearly 2" thick. I can't imagine the size a large print version would need to be!
This was Weir's first book, right?
I mean, it doesn't help the F bomb is right there on the first page! I guess the book banners at least open the book before engineering their outrage.
Don't know if lessons is the right word - although the science was interesting - more like inspiration instead of mere entertainment? The self reliance coupled with the willingness of the crew to possibly sacrifice themselves to rescue the one.
Drove past that wall a couple weeks ago! Good for them!
My new phone was posted to my old address where I haven't lived for sixteen years. This isn't a mistake that's happened before so my only hope is my childhood home's new inhabitants are big Sooz Kempner heads and get in touch. ORRRRRR they know someone who is.
Please repost for me to receive phone.

Dec 24 2022 - Brian writes "Kill them all" on his calendar for that date
Never noticed before but they do it again - about 20 min in, "Thurs Apr 14" on the radio as you see him falling more into despair.
I gotta go to bed but now I want to stay up and see if it happens more!
(and yes, I'm sure @cinecalendar.bsky.social, you already know these!)
from the book is way different from what they put on the screen." Does that indicate Weir wasn't too specific or did the screenwriter do an excellent job of portraying the page? 2/2
I thought Weir did a good job setting the scenes and creating the world without being too specific. It's hard now bc I loved the book but then the movie colors what I see. The movie was great too and I'm not sure what it means that I don't recall any particular instances of "the view in my head 1/2
@cinecalendar.bsky.social Weds January 26 - on the radio as they are leaving the hospital near the beginning of 2023"s Silent Night en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silent_...
I too can see why they did it, particularly in the current book-banning tippy-toe around the "moms" groups atmosphere but like other said, it's not like it's every other word and I feel it's indicative of the times. This is how people talk now and is reflected in written art.
And that mid 90s tie in soundtrack! Pantera, Sepultura, Ministry, Rollins...
Our dog used to grab a glove off the radiator in the kitchen and go running through the house waving her "prize"!

Please credit the original artist, Jane steven. Removing the watermark is an insult to them.

If the world knows that the President of the United States is about to commit war crimes by bombing the infrastructure of another country, isnβt it imperative that he be prevented from doing so rather than simply watch it happen
This is an actual statement from the President of the United States.
This cannot be hand waved away as a joke. The man is threatening war crimes on top of war crimes! ENOUGH!
I donβt say this lightly: The 25th Amendment needs to be invoked. The President needs to be removed!
On this day in 1926, a Jewish girl was born in France. She was arrested with her mother and interned in Drancy from where, on the 18 Sep 1942, they were deported to Auschwitz where they perished. Her name was Ginette Loewinski
