'Reliable Renewables' is a fiction.
As the Minister's own post shows they need back up.
In Australia that means polluting gas and expensive batteries. Neither is renewable.
Our clean energy future is impossible without nuclear in the mix alongside renewables.

The Head of the International Energy Agency slammed past nuclear phaseouts.
"France bringing their share of nuclear energy down is like selling the Eiffel Tower to someone else"
On Germany, "They made a historical mistake by shutting down nuclear power plants that were working like a Swiss clock"
Nuclear power = energy security
⛽️ Currently, we have around 30 days of petrol supply.
☀️💨 The sun and wind vary every day.
⚛️ A nuclear plant has a minimum of 2 years of fuel.
It’s times like these which highlight how important it is to lift Australia’s nuclear bans.
Too bad Mark Carney if you want to do a deal for some of our uranium or collaborate on reactor tech whilst you're down under.
Nuclear power is illegal here and uranium mining is restricted in most states.
Hope you don't leave disappointed. Nuclear politics beats pragmatism in Australia.
The leaked Liberal Party review confirms that they failed to campaign on nuclear.
They spent $193 million in 24-25, (AEC) but didn't use it to share nuclear facts. Millions was spent by anti nuclear groups on the opposing fear campaign.
If you've got the money, put it where your mouth is...
"Australians for Water Security" spent over $50k before the election on AI generated ads of farmers opposing nuclear power.
They organisation has no ABN, ACNC or ACNC listing and are authorised by a musician from Maleny.
Why is the Senate ignoring this astroturfing? Who actually funded it?
There is no "policy work" that said nuclear would take 40 years in Australia.
Likewise, there's no credible evidence that nuclear would cost $600 billion, provide 4% of power or that the public doesn't support it.
Yet these false claims continue to get peddled by Australian media.
Australia's nuclear ban is now 27 years old, but what's the reason for it?
If the ban was about safety, why make an amendment for AUKUS?
It's about nuclear not stacking up, lift the ban and prove it.
Senators Hume & Canavan both have bills to lift the bans. Let's see where our leaders stand.
The Gov is doubling down on nuclear disinformation despite warnings of AI power shortages.
According to Minister McBain most reactors were "set up in the 1950s" and "countries are puling out".
Currently, 63 reactors are under construction and ≈60 nations are adding nuclear.

I dread the day I'll have to pay my first power bill in Australia...
"Electricity bills could rise 24 per cent from November 2025 to July 2026, according to figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and a forecast by Westpac economists."

Labor just released their election review.
Recommendation 1 should have been that lying about nuclear is not a strategy.
Millions was spent on a fear campaign that failed. Post election 47% of Australians support building nuclear and only 34% oppose.
Labor should change course.
What a reality check...
We were told that solar, wind and could do the job of phasing out fossil fuels and there was no point for nuclear.
Why do our politicians continue to defend the outdated ban on the cleanest, most reliable form of energy available?

Meta just announced their plan for 20+ advanced reactors to power their data centres.
Yesterday on Sky News with Jaynie Seal I said this is a "wake-up call" for the Australian Government.

Australia's Climate Council is boasting about being in an over $3M "multi-channel effort with partners" fear campaign defending our nuclear power ban.
Their donors need to seriously consider whether their money is supporting the climate or helping one energy industry profit against another.
ANSWERED: Is the public ever going to be convinced about nuclear?
This is going to be a bitter pill to swallow for the “we don’t need nuclear in Australia” people.
Defending a ban on a source of clean energy means fossil fuels and higher bills for longer.
The reality is proving (once again) to be the complete opposite of what the politicians promised.
It's water vapour, not smoke!
I hope I'm not triggering any nuclear people here.
*watch (maybe the typos show I’m actually human 😂)
Thanks for sharing a headline.
Please actually read that article and watched my evidence:

So-called ‘pro-climate’ organisations like these want to shut down experts talking about nuclear energy in Australia.
For them, it’s not about the cause but the industry they lobby for and are paid by.
If it was about the cause, they’d support all sources of clean energy including nuclear.
What’s going on here @commsdeclare.bsky.social?
This is blatant disinformation. AI images, explosion sound effects, calling us pro fossil fuels when nuclear is the direct replacement for fossil fuels.
This is a seriously anti-science outdated agenda…
If you’re against nuclear in Australia you’re against the climate.
Simple as that.
Why does Comms Declare oppose nuclear experts educating the next generation about clean energy?
Thanks for the shout-out Simon!
I'm proud to be a nuclear fan, in the same way you're a 100% renewable fan.
Neither of us are experts but I'd argue you've got a lot more political influence than I do...
Introducing Jordan!
As Nuclear for Australia grows, I'm thrilled to welcome Jordan to the team as our Supporter Relations Coordinator.
Never believe a politician who says they're serious about the climate but Australia doesn't need nuclear.
The government has had to admit today that current projections suggest they'll only reach 48% emission reduction by 2035 compared to their recently announced target of 62-70%.
Australia’s nuclear ban makes us irrelevant to the rest of the world.
India is planning to increase their nuclear power capacity tenfold by 2047.
They’re looking to collaborate, yet the outdated ideology of our leaders prevents us.
Australia has lost COP to Turkey 🇹🇷 which is building four nuclear reactors.
Whilst it's disappointing we won't have the world's nuclear community in Adelaide, it's reassuring that the Energy Minister will face an irony in Turkey if he tries to shut down global nuclear progress.

Despite saying they listen to experts on energy, many politicians continue to refuse opportunities to meet with Australian nuclear experts.
How can you have an informed position on nuclear power without engaging with experts?
