‘Indefinite lockdowns,’ extreme heat, prompt letter from Maryland prisoner advocacy group The Prisoner Rights Information System of Maryland put the state on notice over constitutional violations it's attributing to "indefinite lockdowns" at state prisons.

An unfolding constitutional crisis in MD: staff shortages that “have led to constant and indefinite lockdowns," with many facilities now operating "on a 23-and-1 schedule, limiting prisoners to just one hour outside their cells each day.”
