It was earned, but they should never do that again. & that goes double for fan films. Yes, you are soooo good at Blender! But any shot of a ship in dry dock over 3 second long is BORING!

SFA was going in the right direction & it was cancelled. I’ve lost hope.

Star Trek has mostly NOT been about a hopeful future for decades.

3 series about 3 different wars (& SNW does many war stories).

The last 2 TNG movies & all 3 Abrams movies were about REVENGE (& Abrams is a producer on the next 2 movies).

I want hopeful Trek back.

The lens flare is the least of his problems, but he does that for the same reason he has his characters constantly running around, hanging off things, debris filling the air, etc—to distract from the lack of plot & characterization. He has nothing to say, no intellectual curiosity at all.

Because a plurality of those “good people” are racists & sexists.

JJ Abrams (the hack who thinks Star Trek needs to be more like Star Wars) is at the top of BOTH films, which means they’ll probably both be more of the same mindless car chase garbage with no meaning or originality, just lots of running around & plot holes.

I’m sorry, did you think Paramount was EVER the good guys? They’ve been mishandling Star Trek for DECADES. They don’t understand it & certainly don’t care if it has any meaning, intelligence or originality ever again.

The whole point of Walter White is that despite his technical brilliance & initial good intentions (make $$ for his wife & disabled son before he dies of cancer) he’s not immune to greed, anger & ego or the corrupting influences of a crime. Show gets great when he does something monumentally stupid
