It’s interesting how this lifts the language of the left: “oh you’re against privilege right?”

I just finished a Trek book that featured an Archer class helping out the Enterprise! So cool to actually see one—I couldn’t find one on Memory Alpha

Stark contrast between this story and KSL’s: SLTrib actually genders the recipient of the letter correctly.

Tech CEOs are marketers and salesmen, not tech gurus or geniuses. It’s always been that way and it’s exhausting to be the only person in the room who sees it

Just like they did with Gaza…over and over again.

“Cease fire?”
*Bombs a neighborhood.
“Okay this time we really mean it.”
*Bombs a hospital
“Gee I dunno what’s wrong. I told everyone to cease fire”
*opens fire on a line for food

And I thought Bush strutting around in a flight suit declaring premature victory was stupid.

The propensity for oil people to have no diversity in their portfolios and not be forward thinking was grossly underestimated—as was their willingness to murder people to protect their shortsightedness

Hegseth/Trump declaring victory is a premature ejaculation in the old-timey sense—and we should call him a “premature ejaculator” at every opportunity

Oh McDonalds, did you really need the Saja Boys to give you a reason to put a teaspoon of sauce on a McMuffin?

Agreed. I grew up Mormon, but my parents were progressive. I wound up leaving the faith, as did my parents, as Mormon leadership courted and tried to fit in with the nationalists, but I always appreciated the message of Christ I grew up with. I am heartened to see Christians asserting themselves.

While I agree with the sentiment that Trek was at its best when it had more than 8-10 episodes to tell stories, I ALSO think Trek is ripe for the kind of 3-4 episode story arcs that made late Clone Wars so good.

Trek is good with long seasons but we could use more “to be continueds” too

Hell no! I just saw a preview for the new Harry Potter, and leaving aside JFK’s nonsense, my partner and I were like “why are they doing this?”

Every year, January to April, people accuse me of fearmongering in my reporting. Every year around this time, bills pass. And without fail, every year, the ratchet tightens.

And now Idaho just passed a bill that could put me in prison for years—for washing my hands in a bathroom.
