Imagine you can put a slice of an optical field on hold, phase-shift the remainder, and add the slice back in upon a measure. The result: A self-referenced interference boosted by Kerr nonlinearity giving access to phase; in-line, algorithm-free, low-power, single-shot-ready and highly sensitive.

We found an answer to it, in theory, simulation, and experiment, and it‘s really fascinating! [tl;dr] It‘s because this is how Fourier works in combination with optical fiber nonlinearity.

Glitta has followed up curiously on an observation we were all puzzled with over the last two years: Why do we see a peak in the measured intensity spectrum after an optical fiber although we just added phase there? Should phase information not just vanish as soon as we measure?

Es wird immer klarer: Eine CDU ist keine Reformationspartei, sie ist Verwalter von schönen Zeiten in denen Deutschland ein Selbstläufer ist.

Hinzu kommt eine visionslose SPD, die keine Perspektive für eine zunehmend automatisierte Wirtschaftswelt anbieten kann und personell eine Katastrophe ist.

Ad-driven filters are like robots on a market place that group people in zones and surrounds them by posters.

Nobody looks at the posters but becomes more extreme in their opinion within their bubbles.

Visitors to the bubble are talked down to silence.

This is not a normal social habitat.

Why?! Because it destroys our democracy and destabilizes our society.
