Wanted to do grading shit with Manga, wouldnt it make mlre sense to like, do it with the actual magazines like shonen jump that these are initially published in that are floppies and aren't always kept in good condition? Those seem alot more analagous to comic books vs the equivalent to trades. . .

And the thing is, the whole grading thing started cause like, old comics were seen as disposable media, so alot didn't survive and most that did in nkt great condition. Manga is like, proper books. Sometimes with a hard cover and everything thats pretty easy to keep in good condition. So if you 1/2

doing this grading shit with manga volumes feels extra idiotic when publishers afaik pretty regularly try and keep then well socked and available with reprints that are usually pretty identical to that first run. like, theres not really much in the way of like "first-edition-ness" like with comics

honestly a VG film is never going to "replace" the original game in peoples heads, even as an alternative, so i do think more VG movies should try and do their own thing in the same setting vs being an adaptation. hell that comes with the bonus of potential canonicity to the VG lore if done right

i think for this its that this is a 2026 HG kit, a rather pricey one at that (though not for the part this is about) and it seems to have worse color separation and sticker use than the original HG Nu gundam and especially the EG nu that it obviously resembles.

I really enjoy Playtime With Mom, it'll probably be my Game of the Year, but it's hard to ignore the unanswered plot hole of how mom got the ability to disappear and reappear when she puts her hands in front of her face and why would she do that when we're playing
