an old-school DnD alignment chart, a grid of 3x3 squares, with the two axes being lawful to chaotic and good to evil. lawful good: a lengthy, well-formatted footnote with additional explanatory text neutral good: a note to future self of what to do with a footnote, but the full citation already pulled chaotic good: an incomplete footnote but the various authors are at least listed in brackets lawful neutral: a somewhat more restrained footnote than lawful good, without explanatory text true neutral: just the footnote chaotic neutral: a note from the author to the author, saying only "find this again!" lawful evil: a curt footnote saying "see, again:" with the full citation after it neutral evil: text, cut off by the screenshot: "I swear I read this somewhere; I've lost the bloody [...] goes to publication" chaotic evil: a completely blank footnote
I found this lying around in a random folder with other things I made in grad school: FOOTNOTE ALIGNMENT CHART
Wrote a few words in @shcy.bsky.social's online exhibit Childish Things last week. Thanks @layla-koch.bsky.social for your helpful comments!

Å slå opp i Det Norske Akademis Ordbok. 💘 Gratis, utvikla av fagfolk, kvart ord følgt av ein brokete bukett med sitat! Så heldige me er som har noko sånn.
A meme of 'Is this an archive?' showing a grid with various classifications of things that might be archives based on their content and structure.
Hoping this helps our colleagues across the industry
Nydeleg tråd! Vil dessutan slå eit slag for Hovsherad IL.

In a study of professors, women got 378 new work requests over 4 weeks vs 118 for men. Women spent more time on service, advising & teaching; men on research. Orgs should track who is taking extra duties & ensure they are rewarded and distributed fairly. www.forbes.com/sites/kimels...

Brunnakke! Hann til venstre, ho til høgre.
Ah, hugsar då eg som tunvert i studietida riksa på ei dør i Setesdalstunet i vel eit kvarter. Ei gruppe turistar trudde eg spelte ut ei rolle og fotograferte entusiastisk, mens eg sveitta i ullstakken og desperat prøvde å få tak i gjenstandane eg trengte til ei planlagt omvising. Gode tider!
Herleg, gratulerer!

Tusen takk for dei gode orda!
Excited for this! I'll share some work-in-progress from my thesis about how interwar debates regarding nature vs. nurture were communicated to children through fictional conversion stories.
My work is informed by studies in the history of emotions, book history, children’s literature, mission history, history of childhood, and antisiganism.
This part of Norwegian history has never been studied before, and my research aims to shed new light on how Norsk misjon blant hjemløse worked to achieve and maintain its special status in Norwegian society and government.
My main material is the children's periodical Maaltrosten (1903-42), published by Norsk misjon blant hjemløse, and letters from its readers. I'm interested in how children were taught to think, feel and act in relation to Romani.
This was an initiative led by the missionary organisation Norsk misjon blant hjemløse (1897-1987), which was financed by and worked closely with the Norwegian government untill 1986. Among the abuses carried out by the organisation are forced sterilization and unlawful kidnapping of children.
Hello world! I'm researching the involvement of children of the majority population in the forced assimilation of Romani in Norway. This photo (1904) shows some of these children busy making prizes for a bazaar. The money they made would be invested in orphanages and work camps targeting Romani.
