But my question is: Do we know exactly who is working for ICE? With them hiding their identities...how do we know exactly who works for them?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention...because right now that is not much hope out there that anyone is actually fighting for democracy...not even the ones we elected to do so....

They aren't attacks...they are self defense....when a terrorist comes at you with a gun, you certainly have the right to protect yourself!

Unfortunately, I fear that by the time the files are released, they will be scrubbed of certain names.

Feeling the Post-Holiday Blues?

The holidays may be over, but the mission never stops. There's always another family to feed. Another child to make smile. Another reason to wake up with purpose.
Will you be the someone who says YES?

After my first mission trip, I'd sit in a restaurant and think about the families in Guatemala who walk two miles for clean water. I'd find myself complaining about her WiFi being slow, then remember children sitting alone in silence for hours every day.

Forget your problems by helping others.

In December I visited a senior living community and delivered a talk on the importance of clowning, and as part of that presentation handed out clown noses. Yesterday, Esther sent me this picture of how happiness can ripple from one event to another. Always spread happiness.

Here is something that blew my mind: Scientists have discovered that laughter, smiles and play trigger the SAME brain responses across every culture on Earth.

Universal human responses that need zero translation:

A genuine smile
Playful surprise
Acts of Kindness
Creative expression

No...I travel there 2 times per year taking food, supplies, backpacks, whatever is needed. We do have a group of friends locally in Guatemala who assist us during the times when we are not there. I'm actually in Arizona.

Thanks for sharing!

Yes, this pretty much sums him up! I feed families in Guatemala, clothe them if they need clothes, and shower them with love.... the only thanks I need are seeing the smiles on their faces and receiving a hug now and again...do it because it's right...not for the thanks....

Everyone says you need perfect Spanish for international missions. I was terrified about my broken language skills. Then I folded a napkin rose for Balbina in Guatemala. Her smile needed no translation. Your heart speaks louder than your words ever could.

Everyone wants to change the world. Few people want to sit with the lonely person at lunch. But here's what missions taught me: You change the world one person at a time. Starting with the person closest to you.
