maybe this is just because I'm used to having to do doctors' jobs for them as a trans/disabled person, but:

IMO, insofar as doctors primarily act as gatekeepers to prescription medicines, a gatekeeper that's easier to trick is pretty much a good thing

anyone over 18 should be able to do anything they want to their own body, mind, and especially in their own home. i'm willing to accept compromises for freedoms of under 18s but those rules shouldn't impact adults and they shouldn't be overly restrictive censorship or rules themselves causing trauma
