I have about 8-10 on treatment at any given time. I also conduct studies where I ask this too.

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

“Have you ever had contact with an armadillo?”

This is long standing, going back to when my siblings were born 35-40 years ago at least. My mom was in the home birth world. And even though our pediatrician made a house call and administered vitamin K to my siblings, there was a lot of skepticism about it in those circles.

1. #CDC posted new #flu data today. A 🧵
Another pediatric death was reported in the 2024-25 flu season, making it the deadliest flu season for kids since CDC started collecting this data point 20 years ago. 2024-25 has surpassed the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.
9 kids have died from flu so far this year.

For my Pediatrics and Family Medicine colleagues-

As someone who did a stint as both ward attending and ID consult attending over Christmas, I was struck by the number of infants, children, and teens that I cared for with severe influenza and complicated pneumonias. Most not vaccinated vs Flu.

Thx, this strengthens my resolve in many of the same areas. When it gets hard career-wise, it reminds me to return to the needs of those I care for: my kids, my patients, and my mentees. I’m also reading Jane Goodall’s book “Hope”. It inspires us to Hope with action - this will be my 2026 mantra.

Visiting the Jamaraquá community in the Amazon River Basin was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn about local climate solutions and the sustainable economic practices happening here.

Proud to stand with Indigenous leaders in working to help California drive real solutions to the climate crisis.

🤣🤣 I wish I remembered the actual songs on my 2 recent planes. My kiddo was like, “I like this music”. All I kept thinking about was “I feel like I’m in Bridgerton”

I had the same thought on my Delta flight this morning.

I’m an HD physician and I will stick with my clofazimine based WHO regimen until there is a published RCT of RMM. Not enough evidence and there appears to be growing evidence that it is associated w/ type 2 reactions, which has been my experience. Hyperpigmentation is not that bad at 50 mg.

I too was very emotional. Within a week after my husband and I got our second shots (as physicians so January 2021) my nanny and my three kids got Covid. And my husband and I did not. Just amazing what hope they brought and disease / death they have prevented.

Ive heard if you try the actual cvs minute clinic it has worked in our neck of the words. Not the pharmacy.

In 1995, I brought my college scavenger hunt team to victory by writing down the lyrics to your whole song! I spent hours playing / rewinding the tape (instead of studying) and boy was I still so wrong! But at least the judges had no idea either what the lyrics were…

They recovered over 180 bullet shells at the CDC. Debris from shattered glass is still being cleaned up. I am completely stunned at how quickly the news cycle has moved on. This was an act of terrorism targeting public health experts, and the response seems to be a collective shrug.

This was an attack on a federal institution. An attack BECAUSE it is Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This was domestic terrorism.

Why isn’t it getting more press coverage? Some coverage, not enough.

Domestic. Terrorism.

Not enough media attention. This was so unbelievably scary. The fact that more people were not killed is really incredible. I drive through that intersection multiple times a week. There’s always cars and pedestrians especially around 5. And this photo is terrifying.
