Driving north on M6 approaching Stafford there's a milage sign which says Stafford 8 miles. In itself not special , but the 8 is upside down. My daughter noticed it years ago and when drive past it now I always smile and think 15 mins to a cuppa.

No expert but thought it was because they were a lap down when red flag came out.
