Thank you. I used to be really compulsive about sending out, but right now, I've run out of steam... It was a way to occupy my mind after a big crisis. And yes, with the exception of a few tried and true presses, I'm not having a lot of faith in the process. And that is sad.

One said they'd consider me for next time and I withdrew... This was one of those "special" subs, and why also, I feel some journals use their free subs for marginalized writers as a way to virtue signal, but the proof is in the pudding/publishing if they really welcome diverse voices...
The most recent blew me off and wouldn't answer emails... But also, I've had work sit in "marginalized submission" bins on Submittable and they just didn't look at them. Oopsie! Why bother having them, but that's why I sometimes go there in these posts... I'm sorry you've had bad experiences too.
I've had over 300 works published (writing and art) in lit journals. All except for a handful were accepted within two months. Most within a month. What about you? I'm asking this on a ranty and frustrating day due to a couple of deadbeat journals who lost my work...

Also, if I haven't mentioned this here, Meta is an asshole. I was so thrilled to see them lose that big case recently... They have done so much harm to our culture... on so many levels.
Insta again rejected chives and garlic post. There were no lesbian hashtags (they r known to penalize for that). I'm pretty sure the big penalty got applied to me quite awhile back. When you run out of marginalized people to hate, hate on allium... They are hard put to defend themselves.
