Thrilled to welcome the wonderful @adrover.bsky.social to Zurich for our monthly SMyLe @smyle-ch.bsky.social seminar!
📅 March 24 | 16:30
📍 ETH Hönggerberg
Join us to hear José present his great science!
Special thanks to @syis-ecr.bsky.social for supporting this event!
The very first @smyle-ch.bsky.social (SMyLe) seminar is happening tomorrow at 16:30 with @matekiss.bsky.social (Dr. Máté Kiss)!
Looking forward to welcoming lots of myeloid enthusiasts to our first event.
A recent JEM study from Aroca-Crevillén, @drusqui.bsky.social et al. (rupress.org/jem/article/... ) may provide a novel clue into the connection between neutrophils and the severity of daytime heart attacks. More in @jama.com: jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2844961
Really excited for the first SMyLe Seminar Series event of 2026!
Looking forward to the opening seminar on Feb 17 at 16:30 with Dr. Máté Kiss. Hope to see many myeloid enthusiasts there and to keep the discussions going over the apero 🍷
Fantastic news Christoph, very well deserved! Congratulations!
NeuMap is finally out! 🎉 An outstanding body of work by my favorite scientists! Huge congratulations to
@dcerezowallis.bsky.social,
@drusqui.bsky.social and
everyone who contributed to this brilliant neutrophil atlas! The effort behind this was immense, kudos to the whole team!
Proud to see the Swiss Myeloid League (SMyLe) officially launch! A focused home for myeloid research in Switzerland, built to support collaboration, mentorship, and community. 🇨🇭
If you work in this field or know someone who does, please share or get involved: myeloid.ch
Thrilled to share our Perspective on structural immunity, where we discuss how immune cells double as architects, weaving and reshaping the fabric of our tissues. Grateful to @drusqui.bsky.social, all co-authors, and the wonderful @natrevimmunol.nature.com team for making it such a joy to write!
Searching for an exciting postdoctoral position? Look no further! @adrover.bsky.social is a fantastic scientist and a mentor!
Thank you Sofía! You are the best 🫶🏽
Super excited to present our recent publication at the #OBS seminar series next week! 🎉
Come join us to talk about the coolest cell in our immune system (#facts). See you there!
I am proud to have been a part of this effort and grateful for everyone who attended our session. We hope to keep the conversation going on how to best support postdocs in these turbulent times.
With representatives of Postdoctoral Offices and Associations across 5 academic institutions in the US, we organized and held a panel on strengthening collaboration between PDOs and PDAs, at #NPA2025.
For over a year, I’ve been advocating for postdocs as part of the Yale Postdoc Association, and doing so has never felt more precious and urgent amid the massive attacks on academic institutions and freedom.
Thank you so much Sam!
A final take-home message: In biology, cells are not what they look but what they do. Cell lineages are human divides, and the remarkable plasticity of myeloid cells teaches us that biology works by instructing functional programs at defined times and places.
🥳🥳🥳
You can find a lot more details, controls and ideas in the paper
With @alazozcan.bsky.social can we are now exploring if this unconventional matrigenic capacity of immune cells matters in other physiological and pathological contexts… stay tuned for more surprises!
Hello @bsky.app! My first post here had to be about neutrophils, which are so much more than you think! We are thrilled to unveil yet another fascinating layer of their complexity. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to this work—I truly hope you enjoy the read!
