Dear @hignfyus.bsky.social please play this clip. Any excuse, I really want to see the panel's reaction.

Dance like there is no one watching... Admittedly, I want to be able to dance like this until I end my days (probably from exhaustion from the dance)

Péter Magyar victory speech:

"We want to make a country where no one is persecuted because they think differently or because someone loves in a different way to others."

He may not have campaigned as a liberal. But this is a huge change of direction and rhetoric from Orbán’s anti-LGBTQ+ crusade.

Covered EV charge points at petrol stations would be nice too! And the charging points not to be hidden away in a dank corner.

Let wind farms install solar. They have the wires and a lot the inverter tech. So it's a quick way to add a Gw to the grid. liveatthewitchtrials.blogspot.com/2026/03/irel...

Safe cycle lanes. Do something about ghost buses. Make sure there are buses going to main hospitals across the city (I'm in Dundrum, you have to walk to Vincents or go in and out of town). More renewables.

A proper focus on a green transition. We've completely lost our way - what littlecway we had. Spain. UK. Miles ahead.

Not sorting this out will lead to more of this bs down the line.

Universal Basic Income. We have the capability for it, and everyone who's ever looked at knows it works. It would change everything for the better.

Let disabled people get married or even just move in with their partners without it affecting our disability allowance.

It wasn't means tested based on my parent's income when I lived with them, it shouldn't be means tested based on my partner's income. It sets me up for financial abuse.

Roll back on speculative tech investment. We can be a European tech powerhouse without turning the whole country into a data centre. Cut ties with speculative tech companies pushing garbage products and focus on tech that provides useful outputs with European partners like the European Space Agency

Re-open and add to the Western rail corridor, to connect a lot of smaller rural towns and provide access for people who don’t drive, and an alternative for those who do. Add smaller buses for local routes rather than the big full size ones that are half empty

Rural busses that leave cities at 11pm/midnight, no matter what time they arrive at the final destination.

People that live in the country deserve culture without having to use the car.

Plug in ( ✌️ balcony ✌️ ) solar panels like the ones that just got legalised in the UK — we can become a second market for 240v 50hz solar inverters.

You can buy the flippin things in IKEA in much of Europe!

Green & retrofit grants that are paid directly to the supplier rather than claimed back by the customer.

If the money is allocated, then pay it directly to the supplier post work, not put strain on the customer & act as a class barrier that is easier to meet for those with money to spare.

What's one random positive change you'd love to see in Irelands future (after this week of tensions)

Id love covered electric bike charging points wherever there's electric car charging points. I'd love to be able to cycle into town, do my shopping and cycle back on a full battery.

France 🇫🇷 doubles electrification support to €10bn/year through 2030 — EVs, heat pumps, industry.
The reason?

The Strait of Hormuz crisis making fossil fuel dependence impossible to ignore.

Geopolitical shocks don’t just raise prices. They change what’s politically possible.

Meetings at Dept of Agriculture between ministers and sectoral interest groups have wrapped up for the night. Separate meetings for the Agriculture and Transport sectors will be held tomorrow, with ministers working on policy proposals overnight for feedback then. No plans or commitments made today.

A Caravaggio painting from 1602 of Jesus being embraced by Judas as men in armour arrest him. On the right, a dark haired onlooker takes it all in. On the left, a panicking apostle runs away. All is suffused with unearthly light and beauty despite depicting the moment of disaster. Once overlooked, now one of the world’s treasures.

Any excuse to share this magnificent Caravaggio which you can see for free in Dublin. The events of Holy Thursday: betrayal, alarm, despair, resignation and the artist holding a lantern to show the scene to the world.

Every morning, the queen asked her magic mirror to show her the most beautiful person in the world.

The mirror replied "To whom?"

"The miller who made the flour for my bread," the queen would say, or "Whoever spun the thread my shawl was made of".

The mirror would show her, and she'd be amazed.
