The other site is suggesting USWNT will be doing their pre World Cup trip to Brazil in the June window. Makes sense as probably get a sense of weather plus the usual scouting of hotels, training facilities, food, etc. Plus UEFA teams still not available to play in June

Since folks seem to be wanting to start predicting next year’s women’s World Cup rosters, worth noting FIFA finally gave the women parity to the men with 26 player rosters (vs previously 23)
At least there’s 26 spots to debate now instead of 23
I assume this is partially due to how season tickets translated to the move at DSG but lots of annoying single seats available for the Summit game Saturday. Some chunkier rows at the back of either midfield side available and then GA at both ends
So did that DPD erroneous emergency phone alert hit all 20k phones at ball and 70k at mile high at the same time? Cuz that shit is alarmingly loud
I’m sure there’s photos/ videos out there that might shame this loser into doing the right thing
Sure… what could go wrong
And now Yuzuki has flipped to the right side vs Tierna
Emily Fox vs Yuzuki Yamamoto is a challenge of two players I want to be able to root for
Ski resort or soccer tailgate… you be the judge
Trying to figure out how to pivot to spiked hot chocolate for the USWNT tailgate 😅
Having just gone out to lunch and my car getting fully coated by snow in 30 min, I too am questioning my life choices
The Summit players are all questioning their life choices 😅 (don’t show this to Sam Kerr)
Flint’s contract was due to be up in May so I asked Nick about this a couple weeks back and he said the extension was in the works. Official now for an extra 1.5 years. She’s been starting most games so not that surprising though depending on some upcoming signings, will be curious what her role is
Ciao Bella… will they make half and half scarves for basketball games? 🤔
Anyway good thing the news cycle will flip over tomorrow and everyone will have something new to talk about
They could move to non daytime TV windows in the summer to partially solve that
Which is when many other major league sports monopolize a lot of major cities. In the summer you only have to compete with baseball (which in denver is terrible anyway) and WNBA if they’re in market.
Alternate headline: NWSL finally has a solution for stadium congestion and teams getting bumped to weekday kickoffs but wants to fuck it up
Maybe the 18th added team shouldn’t be Ohio after adding boston and denver 😅
Anyway the USWNT will play in freezing temps with snow tomorrow night in April but yes let’s do that 15X a season
Why doesn’t the league let MLS try it first and see how it does? Most MLS season ticket holders I know plan to cancel theirs
Potentially, to me it seems more that the money is being funneled to the league instead of the players and it’s not even enough money from a league perspective to be worth it. These brands won’t necessarily be able to pay both and brands won’t pay players as much if their logo is blacked out
The kind of wild thing is this basically is the NWSL saying if it’s in our broadcast, we control the logos/ rights etc, when does that go beyond players to staff, fans on tv, etc?
It’s meant to scale based on # of athletes wearing it. Again, I think this is a very dumb idea, but nobody is technically barred from entering, but marketing/ licensing budgets will vastly vary based on deal size and number of athletes doesn’t necessarily correlate to playing time/ fame level
They can participate but each has to make its own deal with the league (for the record I’m against this but technically any brand can negotiate a deal with the league)
They can wear whatever they want but have to cover the logos but obviously sponsors will not pay them as much if they’re not getting the promo
The math ain’t really mathing for me
Apparently the PA approved it and the WNBA already has something similar but feels like a step too far for me
