A question for all who are published through a traditional publishing house, not self-published. Which publisher are you with, and how difficult was the process to get published? Also are you happy with your experience? Is there anything you wish you had done differently?

Here's a question for those who write different nationalities and accents. I am white, but some of my current novel features African-Americans in the South in the 1950s. I want to approach their dialect with respect because I do love it, but I don't want to overdo it like a caricature. Any advice?
